Parker 51 was a very popular pen when it was launched in 1941, no wonder it has so many similar looking knockoffs. I have the jinhao 911 which is again a copy, similar but has its own style of presentation. I like Chinese companies when they actually differciate enough from the existing pen. Gives it its own identity at a reasonable price for new fountain pen lovers.

Hero 616 is a damn affordable pen for students in China actually its way better than what our Indian students get in the Indian market. For a student pen that too less than a dollar is incredible boon for a student. Comparing with hero 616 with parker 51 old, is equivalent to comparing lets say camlin 47 with mont blac monte rossa.

But worth buying for the price point it is available.
@@Penmen in China, students after using 616 for so long in schools , colleges they upgrade to hero 100 which has way better building quality, smoother nib(12/14k) better arometric converter.
