I do believe there should be consequences for things said (especially when it comes to calling for violence). The main point I was trying to make was that, for the "right" to complain about the left always trying to cancel people, or talking about cancel culture in general. You now have individuals on that side, go out of there way to message/spam people's places of work (or like that home Depot example I gave, actually GO to their place of work and record them/get them fired) is a little hypocritical/counter productive. Battling cancel culture, by now participating in it or fighting for free speech, and then using those individuals speech to hurt them seems like both sides of the same coin. I think if you do believe in free speech, then someone voicing their "disappointment" in the shooter missing is terrible, but it is their right. Now if they were calling to have more people attempt to go after him, or say that they themselves were going to do so, that's where I would draw MY line. It is still very disgusting in my view that they have said the things they've said, but I wouldn't go as far as trying to get them fired in my opinion.
