Hey, thanks for taking the time to make your video and give your thoughts! We're glad you are feeling good about it. You will find that the first sharpening session with the jig will most likely be your longest one. The follow-up session should get much easier because you'll be coming back at at the same consistent angle every time. We appreciate your business and support! And we also agree that we'd like to see those 2 sweet scooters in action.
Thank You for the awesome product and Excellent customer service. I actually used it again this past weekend and yes it went a whole lot smoother. I did end up changing my angle to 32.5°. I found that for me it works the best. Bahaya or however you spell it, is one tough cookie when it gets the tall shooters
I received my All American Sharpener yesterday, and couldn’t be happier. Packaging and delivery were great. The sharpener works great. I have 3 mowers which all have different style blades, the sharpener handled them all in very little time. The quality of the grind/sharpening was excellent. The build quality of this simple device is very good and should serve me well for many years. If you own a mower, you need one of these sharpeners. It really is, that good. Love it!
Looks like a nice set up. I kind of made a homemade one..........it worked ok until it vibrated apart.........probably need to buy me one. I'm back doing it by hand with an angle grinder right now......
@@drewhadwin122 true. Thought about buying one, but I've already bought about 15,000 dollars worth of stuff this year 🙄. What's another couple hundred 😂
Hey buddy, it looks like its gonna work nice! I believe those are called fender washers. Be sure to go to Lowe's and find a blade balancer, to help minimize as much vibration in the blades as possible. I think it will be very beneficial in the long run for your spindles. I got one for myself and it was kinda shocking how off my blades were that I had sharpened before. Keep it up brother! 👊👍
You do want the blade to be sharp, especially the last inch or so where most of the cutting takes place. Lower down, the blade just chops up the grass a little that you have already cut. You can feel a burr form on the back when you have it sharp and you can take a file to knock that off quickly. Those blades look like they have had some hard use. Make sure you balance them. You can lay them across a screwdriver centered on the attachment hole and they should stay horizontal if they are in balance. Otherwise, grind more on the heavy side.
@@drewhadwin122 appreciate them now because before you know it they'll be all grown up and you'd be wishing they were still around making all that racket lol.
I always thought you wanted a sharp edge on a mower blade, I guess it's not necessary for them to be razor sharp as fast as they turn. How often do you sharpen your blades? I bought the 5005 model at the start of this season and have loved it, it is well worth the money.
I usually go around 10hrs depending on type of grass and soil condition. Sandy with weeds I'll swap them out a little more often just to brush them up. My apologies for the late reply, my notifications got cut off some how 🤔
Not a problem on the late reply. I may have to try changing the angle on my blades to the 32.5 as I deal with a lot of bahia too. Those spikes can frustrating!
dude|, what sold it for me, I have not seen that camera ave t was perfect, thankyou, i've tried grinding by hand, er, if i worked for you, you'd have sacked me

Great video! You should do an update on how it held up after several years

I totally agree with that. Everyone needs one of these
This device along with the Jungle Jim mower lift made my mowing life so much easier! Money well spent. 👍👍👍
Definitely something that I don't want to go without in the future

They're really not priced bad if you think about money saved from having to buy new ones and the increase in productivity with sharp blades

I got one as a Christmas gift and can't wait to use it. Your video is very helpful.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm sure you will enjoy it
Good review and enjoyed the video. On mine I use a 40 grit flap disc makes things go faster just don't stop till you get to the end. 👍🇺🇸
Thanks for showing us the 5005! I'm ready to pull the trigger on one.

Thanks brother, I've got the balancer ordered

😉 Man... Looks like a very simple yet efficient machine 👍🏾
It is and I can't recommend it enough
I been wanting to get one. Just didn’t know if they were worth it. Good video brother! Also we need a video of you riding the scooters lol
😂😂😂 I was riding it yesterday afternoon
WHOA!!!!! YOU WERE AT A 35 DEGREE ANGLE ON THAT INSTEAD OF THE NORMAL 30 DEGREE SHARPENING ANGLE!!! THATS WHY IT WAS OFF CENTER SO BAD!!
it seems to do just do what it's suppose to. i like it.
Ah the beautiful sounds of kids arguing lol. Great video demonstrating this sharpener. Gonna get me one. Thumbs up 👍
🤣 yea they get me all the time when I try and make videos at home. Appreciate the kind words.

I just finish sharpening 18 blade. It is the best there is.
Totally agree
Enjoyed the vid thanks for sharing

How much does it cost. 5005
If I remember correctly it was $219
use a hard wheel, not a flap
