Very nice there! This really is a masterpiece of architecture and something I really hope to catch when I am back down that way next. I wonder how likely to open it is as I know it opens on half past the hour but I also hear that it depends on levels of boat traffic and tidal stream.

Cool. Interesting seeing the barriers all lower at once. I thought they were manually controlled when I visited.

They will be for controlling the traffic on the water. Believe it or not there are traffic lights on water too!
Also and idea for a future video would be to put a go pro on the pole on the end of the like bridge part and film it going up

Thank you for the kind comment. However I did see in the news a couple days ago that it has a fault and is now closed until further notice!
