Well thank you Doc. Boy, you’re growing some amazing beautiful pumpkins. I’m so tempted to grow some of your seeds. I wish I had more space more time and more money lol don’t we all. yes I believe after a few years of searching I found the perfect soil here I really have high expectations for 2024. Call me a dreamer but I can see a state record coming out of this Soil. call me 😜 most people do.
Bubba!!!! Darn!!! Grow green was out of stock on those lights!! Darn! Hahaha I’m growing lettuce in soil this winter! Have had one nice harvest so far! But from my research, to make them taste better, the plants need to experience colder/near freezing temps! The plants release sugars to help them from freezing, which is how they can go a few degrees below freezing! i don’t know if you want that or not with a hydro, but might try putting the setup on a PVC cart so you can roll it out on those above freezing times, like lunch to sunset, to get a few sugars in it! Good luck!! Excited to follow along! Would love to know your set up! I don’t think I’ll get one for christmas, so the assistance would be fantastic!!
Growing in the basement so I can shut down the heat ducks and have a cooler if needed. I also heard you have to reduce the fertilizers the last two weeks to not end up with clown lettuce. They call it clown lettuce because it taste funny.😄 🤡 🤣
I agree Bubba I tried to grow four competition plants and was so pissed off at maintenance that I ripped three plants out September first to decrease possible disease pressure. There was no point they all sucked. I am no Stelts. Just want to be. I really boils down to how many plates your spinning on your uni cycle. What plate matters most? Sure you can grow several, did you bury your vines, trim your secondaries, check for stem rot? Or even mow your lawn? Did you forget your anniversary? The biggest thing I have found is do not grow to many or you will stop enjoying the ride. Come with me Bubba on a magic carpet .....two will do. Cross this years 2560x2365 with that 2749 you evil genius... hey don't grow no ugly pumpkin :)

Stelts’s is retired that’s a big difference great post I love it and who’s to say if Dave grew less plans, his pumpkins would have not been bigger.
