On NFS most wanted (2005) for the PS2, I had a 5 hour long chase that ended very similarly to this. I remember so vividly to this day, starting the chase after waking up and eating breakfast, pausing my game and praying that the PS2 was still on after school, pausing through homework and dinner, pausing through bedtime, waking up the next morning, ready to end the chase so I could show my friends on the weekend and the armored SUV just slams into me, ending the chase and ruining that record. I cried... None of my friends believed me. It made me even more sad.
I should clarify that he slammed me into a wall and made it so I couldn't move, I desperately smashed reverse to no avail, watching that bar fill up gave me more anxiety than I've ever experienced up until that point of my life.

Here's a tip to avoid bumper crackers (that's how i call the reinforced truck) what you gonna do is turn slightly to the right so the Pathfinder thinks you're going right, once he's done that, decelerate just a bit (this is important in a thight space between you and the bumper cracker) then crank your car to the left and accelerate to start a drift, you'll basically own their ankles at this point, just try to not collide with anything else and/or lose control of the car, then just keep going same path you were going.

@@CubeMhm You got to use different strategies and tricks to escape the cops. Using jump ramps are a good way to lose some of them or i usually go to the speedway oval area and keep running laps till they get far enough to escape

You can actually easily juke them- but under stress it's hard. Go right as soon as big boi goes right too you go left (other way around works too)
Sometimes the AI straight up traces you. Or just purposely doesn't rush you until the last second to then ram you head on.
It's very rare when it does it but rare is when you get police roadblocks with actual cop cars. Super rare to spawn
Turn the way with the most space, tap brakes then jerk the other way when the Rhino is center road. Works 90% of the time if you time it right.

When a mate and I did multiplayer, one of us would escape, then navigate the other player while escaping or which side the rhino was on. Nothing beats heat, it felt like you were actually doing illegal night races.
