    The only Rose Technics IEM I've heard is the Star City 5 Pro, which I own. For the price, they aren't that bad. Unique tuning for a 1 + 2. They lack a little in the sub-bass and the air region of the treble. But for $72, I think they're pretty decent.

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  6 дней назад +2

      I have heard good things about the Star City 5 too. I think the QuietSea is just a cut above a lot of the iems in the $50 range for its technical performance. and yes, you are going to sacrifice some of the smoothness with those characteristics. For the price that is to be expected. What I did not expect was the stage and details. They are very impressive. Sub bass is still lacking, however. pretty hard to get everything right at this price. But I do think it is a great alternative to something like the Delci or the EW300 because of the energy that it exhibits. And it is way better at presentation than either the TD20 or the Medusa. by far.

    It's weird, Waner kills me but this reminds me of TRN CS2 which is way more energetic in mids than Waner, yet they way it sounds is beautiful. I definitely think the dips do exactly what you said and the bass performance also helps. I've mentioned CS2 a few times, it's a sleeper ultra budget set with more subbass extension than Quiet Sea. Got mine a couple of years ago for $4.50. The immersion like you said, is amazing. There are certain songs that the feeling of 3d and reverb put me in a bouncy dreamy state 🥰 it does get fatigueing for longer listening at loud volumes but totally worth it!

    • @someoneusa
      @someoneusa 6 дней назад +1

      Btw... There is a CS4 now which has been toned down slightly. Have not heard them. I upgraded my set recently with Tanya filters, so I'm good 😎 tightens up the bass even more and tames down the fatigue.

  • @someoneusa
    @someoneusa 5 дней назад +1

    I made the mistake of putting on a 350 filter on the T10 before bed. 430 am and sleep may never happen. Holy crap. Fell in love all over again. I think it probably sounds a lot like S12 2024. It's ridiculous how good they are!!

      If you don't mind indulging me, how would you compare this with the EPZ K5 and the Hakugei?

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  4 дня назад

      @@wana.me003 I actually have been comping the Anunachi with the Titan S2 a bit because of the Single DD config. The S2 has some strengths against it, but overall I think the Anunachi provides much better resolution than the Dunu. But the K5 is a resolution beast, so I think the BAs really make that happen. That and the fact that the K5 stays a little more natural sounding than most "reasonable" BA hybrids. I love the K5. I think it is one of the best hybrids out there for under $150. If I had to pick based purely on performance, then I am going with the K5, despite the Anunachi being very enchanting in its overall presentation.

    I have looked at this set for awhile but wasn't sure about it. It sounds like a unique tuning. I just hope it's not piercing in the upper mids/treble. I love the upper mids and treble on the EPZ Q1 Pro so are they comparable in that regard? Great review!

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  6 дней назад +1

      The QuietSea definitely hits harder in the upper mids and treble than the Q1 Pro. You gotta be ready for it. It is not going to please everyone. But it is freaking exciting and really immersive and detailed. I will sacrifice a little smoothness and polish for the energy and stage, but that is me. It is a full change up from your average daily driver.
