- 12 DayZ tips and tricks!
- Spread your valuable items out across your inventory. When you get shot and one item of clothing ruins, it doesn't ruin all your good stuff.
- Open an ammo box to drop paper then light kindling on the ground for a quick fire!
- If you have a sharp tool you can break rocks and make a stone knife.
- When people say they are friendly, they might be lying!
- You can block zombie smacks!
- Add stones to a campfire to create an oven
- You can't shoot though concrete, but you can shoot through thin wood and metal
- Hide from enemies by laying down in a water feature
- If you miss a shot, relocate immediately. The enemy will focus on your old location and you can take another shot
- Wearing chainmail and plate carrier will turn you into a juggernaut
- You can kick people in the face

Some of the best times in this game have been spent in a great helm with a sword screaming Have At Thee! At confused bandits (yes this often ends with me at the respawn screen but I like to think I live in the heads of some of them)

Yeah, same. I'll probably buy it someday but I'm kind of broke right now.
Really recommend playing it, to start the game is so unforgiving to new players but you can still have an amazing experience my favourite moment ever is one of my first times playing, I was running around checking out the map and then some rando comes round the corner held me up at gun point, tied me up, striped me naked and force feed me human meat then made me walk around as his meat shield to fight people it was so crazy and I’m still questioning it to this day 😂

Put all your good stuff in your vest and jacket so when someone shoots you out of nowhere they loose out on good stuff
Fun fact, if you kick people you cannot knock them out or do damage it just sort of stunlocks them for a second. So, have fun kicking your friends.

depends on the server you play and where you are the one i play on most people are friendly on the coast even though im geared but military bases are not the place to make friends
You can play PVE servers with PVP zones. To sum it up, most areas you can’t KOS unless you’re in a military base or POS.
There's a Server I play on that's very friendly. It's called SavageDayZ
Just force them not to betray you like putting them in a prison cage (in game ofc)
That relocate shot is pretty useful in almost all shooter games

Nobody is friendly in dayz if you have anything good on you. If you are fresh hide guns in your pocket and use them if someone approaches you claiming friendly. And when you are geared, nobody is friendly.

That one wasn't patched it was bandaged, and the rags weren't disinfected.

This is exactly why I have true issues, I've been playing too much DayZ
I'm always friendly and don't shoot unless I'm in a faction battle or if I'm shot at first. Probably why I die alot lol.

One of my favorite memories of this game is a fresh spawn coming up to my friend (i was around the corner looting) and the random ask him "hey can you kill me please" and my friend goes "ah man, idk.. i dont really want to kill you." Just chatting him up, and i fly around the corner and spray into him with a scorpion.😂
Chain mail and a plate carrier will also make you the heaviest object in the server! Hope you don't like stamina 🤣🤣 great tips as usual guys

Ironically the majority of people I ran into were actually friendly. One time I was fully kitted and got stuck on a ladder. Another fully kitted player came up saw I was stuck and pulled me off the ladder then walked off

Lol I was pretty geared and was monitoring a town I was in for awhile. Came across what appeared to be a freshie as all it seemed he had was a bat. When I tell you this dude froze for a whole minute when he saw me lol I simply waved, with gun in hand, and Im sure he was certain I was gonna shoot but I let him be. Dayz is a very unique game, felt good about not killing him though it was tempting and thats why this game is more impactful than others because people really can stab you in the back even after being friendly.

You can also use your feet to kick doors that are locked if you need in but don’t have rags or anything. You won’t get cuts doing that.

90% of stuff you find you will find while on the move but taking it with you will weigh you down. Rule of thumb if you can not jump remember that one gun and knife you use and stash everything else in the woods and beware human structures.
