Ask to speak to the supervisor for the car. Sometimes agents get their own investigation going and they try to keep the money for themselves, I had to ask for a supervisor in order to get my money.

At the time you filed the police report, where was the truck? Do you think your ex did it? File a complaint against this agent. Change insurance companies after if you can. they dont deserve your money.
