    A suggestion for people who are nervous of working on their guitar. There are plenty of guitars on Amazon that are $99 or so. I guarantee they will come with crazy frets. You can practice on the inexpensive guitar before working on your good guitar.
    You can fix them up and learn to do a complete setup. They can be made to play nice. When you are done, give it to a school or a kid in the neighborhood.

    Nice tool. It works the same as the StewMac Fret Kisser, but at a fraction of the cost, albeit yours doesn't have the diamond cut grinding surface, but changing sand paper is no problem. Good luck!

    2 things :
    a- you should hammer the fret with a soft mallet first and remeasure as many frets lift. Sanding them just leaves a loose fret which deadens the string .
    b. Often assess the fret by placing the fret edge over more than 3 frets to get an idea which frets are highest as well as just the 3 fret method. A higher fret can mask another neighboring high fret .

    The first thing I do is use a G clamp with a rubber tap washer on the bottom and a bit of brass on the top.
    3D printed would be nicer, but it works.
    BTW rocking. Use a felt pen to mark the high spots. once rubbed off job done.

    If I don't use "FRTLZR Fertilizer" on my frets, will that reduce sprout?

    What if there is a low 11th fret causing buzzing at the 12th fret?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • @frtlzr_official
      @frtlzr_official  6 месяцев назад +1

      If the 11th fret is lower than the others and causing buzzing on the 12th, you might need to level the frets. Using a fret rocker to confirm the fret's level can be helpful. If you're not experienced with fret work, it might be best to consult a professional luthier.
      If the 12th fret is higher than the other frets and causes a buzz or dead spot you can use the Fretshaper for fret spot leveling.
