- Ellen Organ, better known as Little Nellie of Holy God, was born in Co. Waterford, Ireland in 1903. Little Nellie only lived to the age of four years and five months, but her profound knowledge and love for Jesus, whom she always referred to as “Holy God”, and her deep understanding of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist played a significant role in Pope Pius X lowering the age at which children could receive their First Holy Communion. Little Nellie’s simplicity of faith and depth of love for Holy God is an inspiring example for children and adults everywhere.
