Is it just me watching each video with no plans to go to Disney for years? 😂
I haven’t really planned nor has my family, but our last couple of trips have just been spontaneous. Regardless, just watching the videos gives me a good warm sense of feeling like in the parks :)
Haven’t been to disneyworld since Christmas 2011 then before that Spring 2006. No plans to go anytime soon. Love watching DFB

We are leaving today from our Disney trip 😢. Tiana Bayou Adventure was so much fun. I just book us for Christmas too. That will be 3 times in two years for us, I’m a little addicted to the magic 😂. Thank you for making me look like an expert with Genie +. Hopefully, I’ll master the next system too.

Ive been to DW three times in my life, BUT this Oct/Nov is the first time ill have ever been where im the one "in charge", so to speak. Every other time i went i was either too young or with a seasoned group of Disney goers who knew the ins and outs of everything. So im super nervous. DFB... PLEASE in your videos when giving advice on certain restaurants/rides, please show them on the map or something! Like.. the clips of the store front are great, but a map view would be AWESOME
On my next trip I'm going to prioritize Guardians!

We're heading to MK next week (my wife and kids first time ever experiencing Disney) and we're looking forward to Tiana's ride. Sadly we'll miss out on the Peter Pan ride (one of my favorites) but we're also looking forward to Pirates, Dumbo, the Tea Cups, and Carousel, and any other rides we can get the opportunity to enjoy! Your guides have helped me so much for my last two trips to MK and Hollywood Studios in 2014 and 2020. Still don't feel like a "pro" but just wanting to give me family the best first experience possible...love you DFB!!

@@joannacoons we are from Louisiana so you would think I’d be used to it haha. But other times we have been to Disney it is usually in the fall so this will be new. But we are all excited 😊
Lol I had lost my glasses 👓 on a water slide at blizzard Beach. Cast understood its a necessity so they actually stopped the ride to look for them. Luckily they found my glasses in less than 5 minutes. I was so embarrassed, but grateful at the same time.

I would suggest to ride Tron and Tianna on the same day is to get Tron at 7am and Tianna at 1pm. We did it, barely worked because our Tron got called at 1pm, but it did work.
We are going this year. Things are way different from how I remember them. Now it seems like everything needs to be pre-planned if you want to have any fun.

I Love Tiana’s Happily ever after. The ride takes place during this stage without villains. Kids need this. Imagineers did this for kids ❤
Kids are too desensitized nowadays. There’s no sense of thrill. No build up. No butterflies in your stomach. No anticipation. Kids need that sense of excitement and it’s missing in rides like Tiana
@@Nacho-go3oi There are plenty of options for that too... not every ride needs to be Pirates, Haunted Mansion, or Dinosaur. It seems as if people are just looking for reasons to hate on Tiana's... hm, maybe because they are hiding the real reason they hate it...
@@athenagreen5390 it’s basic constructive criticism. It’s not hate. Not my fault Tiana replaced a very competently made and very well designed attraction with some good story beats and nice thrills.
One, Disney is a family park, NOT a kids' park. Two, I might somewhat agree, if the ride was actually made well. But it's not. The ride just opened, but the animatronics keep breaking. And what's worse is that Disney KNEW this would happen and just didn't care. Bob Iger himself was severely unimpressed when he walked through it before it opened. This poor ride was doomed from the start.

I'm afraid of heights, and I loved the Sky liner! I think it could be because it's been a dream of mine ever since i was a little girl I've always wanted to go on it. (my mom forced me on Mr. Toads instead...yep i'm that days old) so I was so obsessed!
I’m starting to like the idea of this new Lightning Lane Multi Pass! The fact that I can book in advance and pick the times makes me so excited!
It sounds VERY similar to how the old FastPass+ system worked! I’m ready to see it in action and find out if any of my OLD FastPass hacks can be dusted off and reused for this NEW system!

The DAS changes have been an abject disaster. Folks with terminal illnesses, blindness, and significant physical disabilities are being denied and told to buy Lightning Lanes instead. The approval process is wildly inconsistent, and one of Josh D.'s assistants literally admitted that they are limiting DAS more aggressively because Lightning Lane is a paid service now. Return to queue is also not well set up; there aren't enough cast members to make it work as it is described, and most cast members don't even know they're supposed to offer it. I get that they need to prevent abuse and perhaps come up with some alternatives for folks with less significant needs, but to say what they've done to DAS is an over correction is an understatement.
I don't think blindness was ever meant to be a DAS qualifier? How would a blind person not be able to wait in line. Same thing with people with terminal illnesses
Lines can be hazardous places for blind people and folks who require comfort care. That's not the case for all rides but it is for enough of them at WDW to warrant DAS.
I really hope these rides to go standby queue soon. I also hope they keep a reserve of lightning lanes for those of us that have to wait until the 3 day window to book. It would be awful if hotel guests can make use of the multipass while the rest of us just get the scraps.
They’ll keep it going as long as they deem necessary for desperate families who want to experience the rides but can’t keep coming back hoping for a chance to do so. Defunct land did a pretty good video explaining that at the tail end of the video
Coming from the UK and we can't book LL until we actually get to USA. Not fair to us already spending a fortune.

Two questions, one is if outside US guests will be able to purchase in advance, second is what happens to people who have two disney hotel reservations, is it gonna be possible to purchase lightining lanes for the entire stay or you have to purchase the first and wait to purchase the second part after.
I normally enjoy these videos but I can do without knowing what will happen on rides that I have not yet experienced.

One change you didn’t mention is now DAS is only for children with developmental disabilities like autism. Adults are rarely approved now, even if they have severe disabilities.

Here’s my question, and you’ve probably answered it in the video, what is still offered for free in this genie+/lightning lane system? You explain that with LL multi, you can book three LLs, so if you don’t purchase LL multi or single, can you still use the app to see wait times/etc? Just need help getting this change into my brain, and to understand how it works or is diff/similar. Maybe a new LL-specific video is coming? Thanks! Love what you do DFB! ❤
Does anyone have any idea they would start the standby line for tianas and tron specifically on mickeys not so scary dates?? I know we can enter as early as 4pm but the party doesn’t start till later
I was just curious if they're getting rid of the 6pm virtual queue? So I'm hoping that info was correct.
I hope you test it 7 days after 7/24. That will let us know if the previous days park visitors have caused any rides to be sold out completely or force people to only book late in the day and be forced to standing lines for most of the day
They can't - the system starts 7/24 - not 7 days before that.
@hollisthomas8881 that's what I said 7 days after 7/24 or july 31. It starts 7/24. Won't be any sold out rides since it's the first day. But a week later, july 31, will be the test to see if any rides were sold out during the 7 days prior. So someone logging in their 7 day window on 7/31, will they find rides sold out already or forced to take very late day or night return times. We all know the early rides will be snapped up fast.
I’m going to Disney in one week. These videos have been helpful for years. We will only be able to use the multi pass our last two days of our trip. It will be interesting to try it.

yes u have to do the 3 in advance in the same park but once you use one you can book in any different parks
I was a fan of stacking lightning lanes and going the evening. So that’s the part I don’t like
How far in advance can you purchase the lightening lane multi pass?
7 days before your trip if staying on property for your entire trip. 3 days if not on property
Coolest hack we did, well, idk if it counts as one, was that there were 8 of us who went to our last trip to Magic Kingdom. We had the virtual queue for Tron but conveniently, only 4 of us wanted to ride and the other 4 didn’t (they were much older family members, and my little bro was too scared, but they had wanted to ride in the morning). We were able to ride twice which was neat.
It did take a bit of convincing tho with some of the most “stubborn” cast members I’ve run into unfortunately, but it was really the app’s fault at the end of the day (no wonder we complain about the app so much). The important thing is, we did it twice and didn’t have to pay Lightning lane, so if you ever have leftover VQ’s, use them to your liking :)
The Disney app really needs some update or something, I had a very similar experience to you but with Rise of Resistance years ago. It’s even more unfortunate because the cast members are just there to help us so it’s stressing on both sides. Disney needs an app like Universal
@@Nacho-go3oi agreed fully. I so much prefer the Universal app. It even lets you pick your favorite rides, and it doesn’t drain me and my mom’s phone batteries like crazy 😵💫
I'm sorry but this is so wrong, when you book a virtual queue dont you have to say who in your party is riding sounds like you took advantage of this and took 4 places that should have gone to someone else then hassled the staff. Not the apps fault at all.
@@club23world when you book it, you have to do it so freaking fast otherwise the app won’t let you join (it’ll be too full by then). Even then my family members all said they wanted to do it. Even the older ones who ended up not getting on. Not our fault we could have actually taken advantage of that. And we did not hassle the staff. No one hassled anybody.
We clearly had 4 leftover passes and they weren’t letting us thru, when our app clearly showed 4 tickets left to scan. The cast members were stubborn was all, no one hassled anyone and you’re entirely misunderstanding the situation.

Shame they don’t offer International guests the same perks. Same prices though.
They do though? All disney hotel resort guests can book 7 days before
@@mertcanhacfazloglu4862 Not if you are an international guest. Even if you are staying on property, you can only book once upon arrival on American soil.
If you stay at arts of animation resort, will you be able to stay at magic kingdom till 11.00pm?
Deluxe hotels only qualify for this Art of animation is great but isn’t included in extended magic hours. If it’s open for everyone until 11pm then you can.

Also on VIP tour, you do NOT need park hoppers. You should just scan in to the park where you want to start your tour and do not park hop.

I still think the new plans are crazy. I don’t want to plan to that degree for my whole vacation - plans change based on weather, how you feel on the day, etc. People who complained about being on their phones all day were doing it wrong. It was so much more convenient. 😢
I can’t tell you how much I hate this new fast pass system now not only do I have to wake up early to join the virtual queue the day of, I have to wake up early a week before my trip. I also like to sleep in and go to the parks with fast passes stacked and now I feel like they will all be out by the time I get to the park 😢
Genie+ did not stack by magic. You had to get up early to schedule the ride. Then you had to get up every two hours to add a ride. Unless the hours happened to be what you want, you'd need to monitor them to adjust the times. Now you can get up.once to schedule the three rides for the hours you want.
Theres only 3 rides u need fastpass for it the three mountians thats about it everything else i got on oretty easy well about 10 years ago lol
