I really liked that you swept it's frequency response. Not sure why you wanted to avoid connecting the tin/box to ground though.

That component inspection is commonly known as a 'Cat scan!' :-)

The kitty seems to like it. Betcha once you keyed it, it got nice and warm for kitty to snuggle up to! Neat little project!

Neat little portable dummy load. I built a 200 watt 'cantenna' using a paint can and white oil for the coolant. Works very well, but it's not portable.

Always fun building a project out of spare parts! I did a QRP one and just received power resistors from DigiKey to build a 100W version. 73 de Chris K2CJB

I found your channel and saw your video right after I finished mine. I like your design and build alot better than mine! Can't wait to see the 100W version!

SevenFortyOne I stole...er, borrowed,...the design from Gil The Radio Prepper. It works fine. But I wouldn’t put a lot of power into it. The new one has some serious power resistors. I just have to find a box that they will fit in!

I’m starting to realize I’m starting to realize that junk box projects are fun to figure out. It’s even more fun to watch try to figure it out.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up and full watch! When the paint on the Altoids box begins to peel you will know you transmitted too long at high power.

Awesome Video ! i have a quick CQ : if you filled the Altoids ( sealing it of course ) with mineral oil type liquid - would that help keep low heat? or am i way off channel? i want to make one of my own, for 11 meter band, and would like to expand on it for 500 watts. Thanx in advance.

I imagine the oil would help...not sure you'd get 500w from an Altoids tin but you could scale the design
