It was a small budget movie in my eyes but after watching it some afternoon during quarantine I realized that the way of life they live is perfect. Before the times of rushing to meetings and making it on time to everything , we as humans spent time with loved ones and realized the life we have is the life we have. There’s no point in wishing we had another brother or a father still around. We life the life we are given and count the blessings we are given everyday. I would say we should all love this lifestyle but some need the busyness of the city but others need to slow down and really appreciate the time we have in this planet. You can see it with your own eyes but some things never change and family is one of them. Love each day not like it’s your last but live in peace and happiness for what is given to you

So many memories and I've grown a little more since when I found this soundtrack. This soundtrack of difficult times that says Remember in it's title and you know what I'm not going to be self pity. I will not lose the rest of my life being a crybaby but yes I will remember where I was and how muuuch God has blessed me now but I have to trust him more and love him more!
I come here maybe once a week to listen and strive to one day live how The Grapes live. They live a simple but humbled life. One that doesn’t go far out of town. They in my eyes are something to strive for. They in the eyes of many, live a simple way of life. Simple. Not to be confused with boring. For them family is more important than getting to that meeting across town or getting that bonus. There’s a reason why we all find this theme so beautiful and heartfelt, we all have this idea to live a life that resembles how these people live or a life similar. We all feel this song on a deeper level than just notes on a music sheet. This movie is beautiful and has more meaning to it than some modern age movies. We are blessed to have found this movie and to be coming back to its theme. God does love us and wants us to take this movie and apply it to our own lives and be happy with the things we are given

If you like this theme I encourage you to listen to Don Williams, he’s a Oklahoma country singer from the 70s. He’s completely overlooked by Hank Williams and many country singers alike. He brings a slow country but hits close to home. After listening to his songs you want to buy a piece of land and build a small little house to live in and live out the rest of your life in peace. He’s truly a beautiful singer and every song of his is slow but meaningful. He’s the perfect embodiment of this movie and what it means to live in a small town in the Midwest. Yeah life is slow but you can appreciate it as it gives time to spend with people that matter to you most. That way of life is behind most of America but the Midwest is a good place to start as life is a crawl and there’s no race to the finish line, live it as slow as you can because by the time you’re in your death bed you’ll be wishing you could relive those years you spent in the fast lane. Life is good, just take a look around and appreciate what’s in front of you and never take the little wins for granted

I wish there were more movies like this today, where everything for the most part is just chill and the script is just about normal human life and relationships, no excessive drama or over the top pointless and cheap directorial ideas that always resort to some negative and hate filled character arch. I know it might sound boring to most, but I've reached a point where I just want that Gilbert Grape vibe.
