Diablo 2 Classic 1.06 Paladin Hell part 12 ( Act4 Exp )

- This is the third part of my Diablo 2 Classic 1.06 journey. And it is the Hell Difficulty. I have reached Hell Act4 with Barbarian, Sorceress and Paladin. So I keep leveling up Barb, Sorc and Paladin while bringing other classes to hell Act4.
Here is part 12 of the Paladin Hell playthrough. Act 4 more exping.
( Playing old Diablo 2 classic in 1.06 version of the game.
I have set up a multiplayer game in TCP/IP and playing in 5 player game.
I am sharing loot with all my characters so it is simulating more of a multiplayer in Battle.net rather than just a singleplayer game. )

no way, the first video of Diablo2 1.06 in your channel was two years ago? And you are still playing that version? have fun!
To be fair, i myself play both Diablo 1 and 2 on/off and have done so for over a decade. In fact, i replayed diablo 1 prior to the launch of Diablo 3 and i still have the gear from those days ;)
Yeah seems so. I think I blasted through normal with Barb, Sorc, Pala and Ama then I didn't remember to upload them to ytube and they got lost in Twich which has only 2 weeks of storage.
Then I continued with Necro Normal and then I decided to record own files to upload in here. So yeah. I had some breaks here and there when I didn't play 1.06 for some months etc.
But yeah lets see how long I can keep it up. Plan is to try some other builds that were not so popular back in the days. Now all my builds are basically the most popular ones.
It's very interesting to see your build diverge from mine.
i went for 100 str (Silks), everything else in vita.
20 hammer, 20 conc, 20 holy shield. Idk where i'll put the rest of my points - probably redemption.
My planned gear setup is:
Tarnhelm
Silks
Magefist
2x SoJ
Scepter (+2 skills, FCR)
Amulet (+2 skills, FCR i Hope!)
Rare belt/Grim Shield/boots for resists, FHR and FRW.
My current scepter is very nice. +2 skills, FCR, +1 hammer, lightning+cold resist. Sadly it requires 103 strength, so i gotta have a strength booster equipped.
It seems to me that the FCR breakpoint is around 40%, but havent been able to confirm.

I was planning to go base Str but it was very limiting on many aspects since I don't yet have too great items. In the long run you could get so much +Str from amulet, belt and boots that you can easily wear a mage plate or some other even heavier with -40% req.
Anyways not sure what my str is currently, need to check it and think about the next stats.
I felt that I have pretty huge life pool now so I was wondering if I invest some .. maybe 50 energy even. Might be a waste when I get better +mana gear but thats ok :)
I go 20 conc, hammer, holy freeze and then some extra points go to Holy Shield and some more to Redemption I guess, 1 point to salvation I think for some odd lower resist + conviction bosses in chaos sanctuary.
Items for me go something like:
Tarn
Good HP, hit recovery, resist Mana armor (Mage plate or other with 60-80 str requirement)
Magefist or Frostburn depending on situation
Good stat ring with FCR
Good stat +2 amulet with FCR
At least 1 SoJ 2 SoJ's if the amulet doesn't have FCR
+2 Scepter with FCR (currently only have some blue one)
If my resists are good then Wall of the Eyeless for FCR or Sigons Shield for +1 skill.
Yeah not sure yet what kind of setup it will be yet. Depends on how much I want to grind for better loot also :)
I think FCR breakpoints go 10 20 40 60 maybe 80 for last . Thats for Sorc at least.
Though I'm not sure if weapon is 20 or 30% FCR.. If it is 20% like in post LoD then it would be so. If weapon is 30 then it would be 10 20 50 70 90 or so.
Anyways generally it has been 3x Fastest Cast item + 2 Fast Cast rings is the maximum.
Might be different for Amazon for example who has worse base cast rate or something.
@@akse There aren't that many FCR items though. Max you can get is 90% from what i can tell:
unique Bone shield
Weapon
Magefist
3x FCR jewelry
I dunno about Silks, but getting bonus to skills is difficult and its the only way to really scale damage. Since i'm going for max holy shield, the bone shield is not that great. Really want a high block, high defense shield.
yeah 90 or 4x fastest cast is what they generally talked about back in the days. The 4th fastest is 2x Fast cast. Thats actually only 80% since the third Fast cast from jewlery doesn't generally count at least for a Sorc..
@@akse But i switched to a grim shield and my cast rate didn't seem any different (Going from 60->40).
Maybe for a Paladin the next breakpoint is 70 then.. should test it somehow.
Generally I saw Paladins with either 3Diamond tower or sigon shield.. might go with either depending on my resists.
Do people still play classic LoD online or have they all moved to D2R?
This isn't classic LoD. It's 1.06, the last patch before LoD :)
yamacha is correct but yes there still seems to be some players in the old LoD.
