News flash Cramer: Builders are coming to realize that the BFS conglomerate that swallowed up its competition is actually now taking advantage with its pricing. All of what you say may be accurate, but you leave out a key component: "BFS material prices are no longer competitive"

Respectfully, it’s not always smart to rely on a company analyst to decipher macroeconomics.. if you look at the National Association of Homebuilders and its housing market index, which has correlated well with homebuilder sentiments: it’s been edging up for several months. if you also look at numbers of building permits being taken out by homebuilders, that’s also edging up. None of that is consistent with reading too much into Builders First Source earnings. Time will tell.
