What's more, this distant figure beckons you to come closer. So you do. With each step, the figure seems to look like a fellow human being, waving their right arm from front to back, as if to say COME THIS WAY. You get nearer to this figure, and it seems that the road ahead of you splits in opposite directions. And the figure is standing at the fork in the road. You can't resist, each step closer, you start to notice the figure becomes more familiar.... HERE YOU ARE! The literal fork in the road, and that fellow traveler beckoning you is standing a mere 10 feet away from you. That's when you come to the horrible realization. That figure you've been anxious to follow... was you. Not a doppelganger, not a mirage, just you. What do you do? You notice his arms stretched towards each split in the road. His right arm guides you one way. His left, the other road. Man, what a trip, huh? Our dear Hell Spawn is about to undergo a similar situation when his boss Malboja sets Al Simmons down an irresistible road with its own demented fork in it. And the guide beckoning him to choose which side to take? Well.... watch and see.😉❤

It’s easy to make fun of these, but when you consider that he could have just been lazy and shut up and allowed Marvel to take his characters and stories, it changes the perspective. This is a guy who built up his own ideas and helped to provide a real alternative for comic book artists when the big two dictated unfair terms.
