- In this video we cover one of the most popular wire core lanyard systems on the market today. This wire core/flipline comes ready to use out of the bag, no need for purchasing additional items. The lanyard comes with a CLIMB RIGHT rope grab and a steel snap on a swivel. Just be careful and watch your teeth!
I love wire core for spar work.i like to have a rope lanyard as well tho work positioning an a short Mrs system if needed. If I could only have 1 tho I'd go wire core just because it is so much better on spar work flipping a rope on a big spar sucks lol.
Is it not possible to cut through a wire core rope?
A strong enough follow through and the saw may cut through wire core lanyards. Never assume it will not.
Are you just using a running bowman knot as an anchor ?
nice job, short/sweet
Thanks!
I noticed the carabiner is double action instead of triple. Is that in accordance with safety regulations? Just wondering. Thanks!
when i started climbing they didn’t have stuff like this , im retired from climbing but i climb on my farm and i treated myself to a wire core flip line , if i would of had this 40 years ago i .would of been in heaven lol , its so much easier than my old caveman method and shit climbing gear , it’s a good thing i knew how to tie knots in good rope years ago 😊
What a pro! Nice 👍
Thanks for the visit
Thanks Abdon.
What’s the length of that flip line?
We filmed this a while ago, hard to recall😅. We carry this Wire Core Flip line kit in 8',10', and 12'.
@@BartlettArboristSupply thanks for the quick reply!
Buen video, podrías hacer más vídeos en español? Gracias
What length was the one you are using here?
I believe it may have been an 8' wire core.
@@BartlettArboristSupplyIn your experience how large of a tree must it be before you need a 10ft?
Wire core could kill me when I start climbing so no lol but it would be nice
