Do you know if it the replacements are pre-charged. I am guessing no. Meaning while it is in the off position we would actually need to charge it for the 5 to 6 hrs then remove the charger and use the laptop until it runs out of gas :) then charge again for another 5 to 6 hours ... Then use as normal?
🫠Regarding your question, these batteries normally get shipped out with 30-40% charge because of regulations.
All you need to do is, once you install it, leave it charging for 3-4 hours. Then power it on without the charger and use it on a light load with brightness under 50% until the battery charge gets under 20%. Then power it off and leave it charging for 3-4 hours (5 hours if you can). After that, you can use it as you normally would. This initial charge and discharge is crucial for the new batteries.

I powered up the laptop right away after installing the new battery and also plugged it in? Any concerns with doing that? I have not since unplugged the machine and am letting the battery charge on it's own but it did get to 0% but was near 0% when I got it. Thanks!
🫠Regarding your question, don't worry if you powered it on for a bit; it's just a recommendation, not a big deal. Just do one full charge while it's powered off, one slow discharge without the charger, and then one full charge without powering it on.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
cheers🍻
@@uFixTek I don't think it's the battery, tried 2 new ones including one from Lenovo parts. Laptop will run if power is plugged in and battery is out of laptop but will not charge with battery in even if plugged in.
bigger issue?
Thanks for posting this. My Ideapad 3 only powers up with the power supply connected. As soon as I unplug it, the unit shuts off. The battery charge icon says battery is full but the icon is white, like it is fully dishcharged. Sometimes it does show 100% black and it will work without the power supply for a short time. Is this a battery issue or something else? Thank you!

Regarding your question, remove the internal battery and disconnect the CMOS batter (the small battery under the main batter) and with charger disconnected, press and hold the power button for 60sec then plug back everything and power on and wait 15-20sec. let me know if anything.
I got one of those computer a week ago. But, the battery lasts only 3 hours, is that normal?, I am a bit worried. Thank you so much.!

Regarding your question, it all depends how many programs you got opening in the backgrounds and the display brightness is at 50% or more and cpu usage is set to best performance or balanced.
3h on mid load it what it is, 3:30min at max load you should ger 30min or 40
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
I have IdeaPad slim 3 i5-12th gen with 37wh battery only...can i put 47/45wh in it??? 47wh is also inbuilt in slim 3 IdeaPads
🫠Regarding your question, as long as the battery fits and the connectors are the same sure you can.

Man this laptop is designed so poorly for removing the back. Theres such a tiny piece of plastic around the USB ports and pulling the back off broke them
yes it is very weak plastic that are used on this models they are very dry and weak.
