Tackling Plastic Waste in Ghana | Coliba Corporation | WILDPLASTIC

We know that there are about 5 billion tons of wild plastic in the environment. But what does that actually mean for the people who are most affected by it? And how does the collection and recycling of all this waste work?
Luise wanted to investigate these questions for her master's thesis and asked us for support. So we got together to investigate exactly that.
Out of all the experiences, impressions and pictures a film worth seeing has emerged. We hope that we can bring you a little bit closer to the world of wild plastic.

It's easy to forget how labor-intensive and difficult these recycling and clean-up projects can be when you take away the serious money, equipment and automation. You're not alone. I'm following several small projects that are driven by enthusiasm. I wish one of the bigger youtube channels would showcase the projects and do a fundraiser, then support improvements in a meaningful and lasting way, like collecting money for tents or buildings to make progress here.
