Shosholoza

This performance of the South African song "Shosholoza" (The Train) took place on June 19th at Palenque in Morelos Park, Tijuana, Mexico.

This magnificent concert was produced by Promotora de las Bellas Artes, a non profit organization that has been bringing music to vulnerable schools in Tijuana for over 25 years. South African singer, guitarist and music producer, Sharon Katz was invited to participate as guest artist and shared her songs and stories with the children in the 51 public schools and 2 children's homes. Zulu dancer, singer and teaching artist, Nomsa Majola, originally from KwaZulu Natal, taught the Mexican children dance steps for this unique cultural exchange experience.

Esta presentación de la canción sudafricana "Shosholoza" (The Train) tuvo lugar el 19 de junio en Palenque en Morelos Park, Tijuana, México. Este magnífico concierto fue producido por la Promotora de las Bellas Artes, una organización sin fines de lucro que lleva más de 25 años llevando música a escuelas vulnerables en Tijuana. Sharon Katz fue invitada a participar como artista invitada y compartió sus canciones e historias con los niños en las 51 escuelas públicas y 2 hogares infantiles.
Sharon Katz y The Peace Train se enorgullecen de unir fuerzas con Alida Guardo de Cervantes, Presidenta de Promotora de las Bellas Artes y Directora Artística, Daria Abreu Feraud, para empoderar a los jóvenes de México. It's wonderful. I listened to Lion King soundtrack yesterday which is very African in it's elements and today I ended up browsing youtube looking for all kinds of African music and found this.
