Im pretty sure volatile just happens when you are on the edge of a rank. It will be generous for 1 loss and only knock you to like 0%, but then if you lose again it will give you the rest of the drop from last loss as well as the current loss.

@zeragaming5766 Have you even tried playing any tank other than Hog? Mauga is legitimately garbage right now, he's even slower and easier to hit than Hog, is more reliant on pocketing supports, and does not have the same kill securing power of hook+trap.
ye if hog is strong it means the game is shit, only thing missing now again is that they add a lil bit of damage to junk and hanzo so they can randomly kill you again and we can hop on palworlds again
One tip I can give is to take advantage of the environment you're in. For example, if you are by a cliff, don't be afraid to hook Mauga off. A second tip I can give is wait for his Cardiac Overdrive to be over and then you can hook him into your team. If you have an Ana then it probably won't matter as much, but you probably want to still wait for him to use it first in case he has a Kiriko. A third tip I can give is use Whole Hog on Mauga anytime you're in a corner so that way he'll take full damage from Whole Hog. You can also use Mauga's ult against him if you use this tip.
you can play into him, but it depends on your comp; if you have either an ana or a zen, you can hook him into your team and direct your team to focus him, but to keep him on his toes, you'll have to use your environment to get quick poke damage on him, aiming for his head, while avoiding letting him get too much damage on you because that will only sustain him.
