I think one of the best things is that you don't need to have hundreds of hours of game knowledge to know what you *can* do on an item. It's so damn nice to see something, know what you can do with it, know how you can improve it, and why it will be good for you just by reading the tooltips.
Same seems to apply to skills as well. They do whjat you want them to with very little, "But, that won't work because of this hidden rule or snag".
Same can be said about D4, but that’s shit.
It’s just one of the many things the game does well. Being approachable is their goal while still having manful choices along the way.

I have 6k hours in PoE and I still constantly feel like a noob. I still have to watch a guide for any build and crafting is very complicated. There is just too much bloat in that game and they keep adding to it and changing existing things constantly. It has to be your life. I'm glad there is now a good middle ground between Dumb Diablo and overly complicated/nolife PoE.
And no PhD degree required too
I absolutely love the idea of just showing the game or thing, instead of using fancy words, pretty graphics, tables and graphs to sell something. Its videos like these that really make me want to play the game
This is what I enjoy to watch, something as simple as one drop, and the thought process behind it and the chase for getting where you want it. All explained in a friendly and chill way.
I played PoE for +2k hours and Last Epoch has been a breath of fresh air for me. Everything that felt just completely out of reach for me in PoE feels very doable in LE. It's crazy how one can play PoE for so long but I could still never see myself doing high-end crafting or boss farming due to the endless grinding and currency it took. I love that the game isn't bloated with a million mechanics, the infinite stash tabs, the inventory sorting, and also like Ziggy said, the clear goals, the crafting, the easy farming, etc

IMO best gear and crafting system ever. Still RNG based but hidden in so many ways to feel consistently rewarding. My favorite ARPG
the deterministic crafting is more than enough to clear monolith, but to take it another level, thats where you have to fiddle with rng, which I think its totally fair.

I love that in LE it’s quickly easy to get very good gear in end game… but to get the perfect crafted LP4 gear it requires a lot of luck and time spent grinding.
The progression feels so good as a result.

Not going to lie, I don't understand how I enjoy this game so much. I absolutely love it and can just grind it endlessly. I've played majority of arpgs grew up playing d1 and d2, and love the diablo series. D4 meh, I play the season for about a week and once I'm 70-80 I'm bored. But this I can just endlessly farm monos with out a shred of boredom. Finally got my bow nd quiver for my build last night and got so pumped. Now just to find them with some LP and I'll I'll stoked.LE is God tier arpg, cannot wait for the future of this game.
PoE can learn a lot from Last Epoch and i hope they take a TON from LE and implement it into at least PoE2 because gearing and gear progression feels exponentially better in last epoch than it has ever felt in path of exile.
A little late, but thank you ZiggyD for being a positive light, must be draining your energy at times but it's seriously so very appreciated, specially when someone going through a bit of a rough spot.

Hey man, great build! Could you maybe make a new Snapshot with your current setup? I was trying to follow the previous guide, but got big problems with items after hitting lvl 75. Also any chance that you could share loot filters? Or at least explain a little why you prioritize certain stats. Sorry for all those demands, Im lost and looking for any help i can get 😅

I still don't have much idea what is going on with the crafting system but I am loving it!
High key one of the best things about Last Epoch is that all the items drop identified and you don't need a consumable item to teleport back to town.

This part of the game is so cool. Love it!
Wish you could try to gamble and remove unwanted affixes from Exalted items, maybe brick the Exalted, but eventually you would have an Exalted with the exact affixes you wanted and then you could guarantee what you put into your LP item. Also Critical Success being able to make a T5 transform into an Exalted T6, and another crit being able to randomly turn a T6 into a T7, just feels like it would be fun.
You can do that! Rune of Removal removes 1 affix at random and is quite useful for cleaning up exalted items.
@@ZiggyDGaming or you can also try your luck with glyph of chaos and improve the mod while getting the one you wanted, it's even more "forging potential efficient" (if you're lucky)
@@ZiggyDGaming But if you had a Unique with 2LP, could you try to get lucky and remove affixes from an Exalted so you only had the two good ones you want on there when you combine them?
@@deltablaze77 You cannot use an exalted with less than 4 affixes to make a legendary.
There's always an element of randomness to making a legendary unless you have a 4LP unique.
I think the game is fun, but a lot of the stats to go for, crafting and end game dungeons are puzzling to me - as I neither have the time nor brain power to read up and understand these things - but THANK YOU for taking your time explaining what you do and why it's good for your build.

Got one the other day with 29 throwing dmg. Slammed them into a pair of LP Lirakas gloves and have 150 crit multiplier and +29 throwing dmg. Man I love this game

man, having a crafting system that does not require a Phd in the game systems tacked on for a whole decade, and scattered throughout various convoluted mechanics, UIs and hidden information is so refreshing to see.
I love POE, but damn, its crafting system is harder to understand and more convoluted than my day-to-day job of data analytics.
Thanks for this showcase and your build video as well. I have 2 copies of the offhand item you are using, but i'm curious if it's better than the ice flask?
I really like the time travel concept in LE. POE has fantastic potential for a league based on this concept considering the lore. Provided it hasn't been done already, of course.
Incursion league was about that. Just no instant time travel mid combat.

I love the means to an end you have but so there needs to be more "end" , luckily they already announced pinnacle bosses and more endgame side content so this game will cook nicely
I've been playing PoE for over 14k hours, because no matter with what other isometric aRPG I compared it, they all were no match.
But for now, I HIGHLY prefer LE, because it gives me a path - some goal I can work to. PoE is more about doing the same thing over and over and RANDOMLY getting currency to buy stuff other players dropped or crafted.
Trade-league LE feels more like I can do stuff myself than SSF PoE does :x

But the sealed modifier did not upgrade so I don't think it can upgrade on a crit.
you have 25% chance to get glyph of despair when you use rune of research (I think it's called like that) on experimental item

If you switch between affix it will not increase too much forging penalty.
Yoooooo. I've been winging a rogue poison build while leveling but I've kinda hit a wall where I don't have the mental energy to continue extrapolating to a bigger picture. THE ZiggyD is playing something similar that I can copy? Hell yeah.
edit: shit. It's falconer. I picked bladedancer. New character it is, I'm only like mid-30s anyway.

poe needs id'd drops or items that scale how good they roll based on zone level or how jacked up the monster is

Ziggy you need to perform some sort of ritual to keep that luck, that was absolute fucking cheese, sorry for speaking french but i think the luck you had called for it. 3 crits and about 3 free rolls on that ring was absolute filth. I will trade you for my unluckiness if you want, i can barely get any damn exalted items to be remotely worth using LP on.
Finding or crafting your own items is always more fun than buying. I still don't get why ggg is so adamant on making their game revolve around trading
The crafting in this game is so much clearer and accessible than Poe.
It's the most smartly designed ARPG I have ever played, the devs weren't kidding with their credentials, they really understand the genre.
Only reason I hesitate to call this the new best ARPG is that PoE had 10+ years of expansions and league mechanics that made it such a behemoth, but this is no doubt in my mind the #2 and it is WAY WAY WAY better than PoE was at its own launch.
GGG will be going the way of Kodak.

Crafting do be like that sometimes. I once closed my eyes and spamed upgrage 4 times only to find 3 crits and one free craft.
hi nice video, why not strip down exalted items to the stats you want, before crafting legendary. it's a gamble on the exalted however your legendary will be perfected as you want it to be.
You have to have 4 affixes to legendary craft to avoid players cheating it like that heh
Sadly i just died in hardcore at lvl 38 😂 i am having a blast tho.
lol, the only reason this game is getting praise is that it doesn't suck as much as D4. If Bliz hadn't dropped the ball with D4, people would be blasting this game.

It's Falcon Strike provided by the Falconry skill tree.

This game makes me sleepy each time I launch it, sleeping can be fun but it is not my definition of fun. Not saying the game is bad, just that it is fun only if you enjoy it. Like everything, it is subjective.
21:31 Shouldnt you be milking every possible forging potential on those exalted gloves to up the tiers or even glyph of chaos the affixes you didnt rly want?
The damage on this build for the amount of min-max gear he has on seems super low.
Its because they dont lock good stuff behind a paywall. Like all AAA games do these days.

Target farming in this game is amazing. Still RNG but nowhere near the levels of other arpgs. I’ve played hundreds of hours of other games farming for a unique and still never find it.
I have 25 hours in LE and had my unique drop from my very first CoF prophecy. Obviously some of that is RNG but the fact I can guarantee unique drops is MASSIVE.

The wording is very strange i would interpret uncapped rez as anything under 75 being as 75 is the cap..to me u are reading it as overcapped IE-over 75
Uncapped in this game just means your total. It's a bit ambiguously worded for sure.

Game is great but it will never beat PoE for me. PoE just has way more interesting builds, more unique and interesting gearing/item mods.
i havent had any item even be 1/5 as lucky when crafting, if poe crafting is gambling so is this

Buddys think we got 10k hours to find items. I understand cool hard items behind a boss that has low drop rate but damn why does a game need to have like a spreadsheet and dozens of hours just to play it ?

The funny part about ALL of this is PoE 2 is getting dumbed down heavily for new users and easily to understand and I know PoE andys gonna be furiousssss
So at the end of the season what do u do? Delete ur char? Start over for another 3months of grind ?
Cycle (season) characters get moved over to legacy, which you can continue playing if you like. But most ARPG players like myself enjoy a fresh start so we'll start with the new cycle when it comes out.
@ZiggyDGaming we been doing that for 20 years now.. is there any reason to play non season? Build a pvp char? Or accumulate wealth ? Or is no one playing non season?

If you don’t like it and are not having fun simply don’t play. It’s not that hard. If you don’t like that your character goes to eternal realm then don’t play cycles/seasons lol. after 1000 hours on poe i still dont craft because i only half understand it. with this video i understood immedeately not having played it... yikes
...I think PoE players are going to bonce off this game pretty fast. The deterministic crafting is fun.... but I already have 2 character this cycle at level 100 with what Id consider mirror tier gear. It's just too simple and too fast to 'complete' a character. What would take me near a month in PoE (and I still wouldn't have gear this nice, but my prog would be similar and Id probably move on to an alt) takes 2-3 days in PoE. Experienced Arpg players are gonna abuse the fuck out of this system, especially since the builds lack diversity. I know some your jaws just dropped, but compared to PoE, these skill trees don't do it for me. Weeee, you can build each skill the 5-6 ways the devs envisioned....PoE allows you hundreds if not thousands of different support combinations that can further be impacted by the trees... In my mind, it's not comparable. Remember kids, being better than D4 is a low bar to pass...
I like to bring this different perspective because this is a 50$CAD game, and it's competition is f2p. IMO, this is terrible value as 100hours in LE sees me bored and moving on whilst PoE is at 3000+ and counting. This isn't a game for blasters, they love it right now because there is deterministic crafting but give it 1-2 weeks and they'll only be back for drops. I think this game is perfect for casuals and people who actually like D3/D4.

Le's combat leaving me "whelmed" tho right now, maybe it's better in the late game. Everything feels like Torchlight to me.
It's not as smooth as PoE or D3 for sure but it does depend on your build, some things feel better than others and 1.0 was a huge improvement overall.

i find it soulless and extremely repetitive, it is like a build generator created by people who have zero interest in telling a story
