It's great to see you smiling and upbeat. You're a good man, Paul. You say we pick you up but I think I speak for many others when I say that you pick us up as well. Keep fighting.
@@PaulinPerth I'll be with you throughout this journey. I appreciate your honesty and humor. I also have a lot of respect for you with the way you are handling your battle.
Paul, I worked in a Hospital lab for 37 years one thing I miss is listening to patients life stories and getting to know all of them in a unique way. I’m glad I found your channel and have been enjoying your life story! Thank you for sharing. I look forward to following you thru your Journey all the best from Wyoming USA😊
Paul, I’m inspired by your perseverance all the way from my home in Seattle, USA. We’re all together on this journey through life, and watching someone remain kind and warm through such a difficult time brings a tear to my eye. I believe peoples true colors come out in hardships, and your colors are absolute lovely. Cheers from Seattle, my friend.
My father has multiple comorbidities including advanced dementia, advanced inoperable prostate cancer (high Gleason scores) following the stroke that left him bed confined. He was put on Hospice and given 6 months to a year. That was six years ago this month. I'm about to lose my six figure career and health insurance to continue taking care of him full time. My employer ended remote work and wants me back in a different city. Sooner or later if we live long enough we'll all be in that same bed. I have to remind a long line of cyncial doctors that the Hypocratic Oath doesn't have an age limit nor does it give anyone the authority to give up.
Your friend Rick seems so loving and caring! he kept looking over at the blood pressure monitor when you got excited talking about the KFC order. :) I am happy your day was so good (under these circumstances). Thanks for sharing as always.
you can tell Paul is one of the kindest hearts out there breaks my heart seeing him tearful just want to hug him and tell him it will all be ok. hope all is well Paul sending prayers brother keep up the fight.

You sailed right through that, Paul, and the smiling "Tra-la-la"s brought a huge smile to my face! Nothing like KFC, the support of friends, a bit of anesthesia and Banana Splits music to help keep you happy for a medical procedure! Glad it went well & I hope you had a great evening with Rick.
We are still praying hard for you Paul. We are on your side... best wishes mate, Barry Mulcahy , an Englishman living in Portugal, and Lucilia, my Portuguese wife.... Barry.

Glad you are feeling the love. It has to do with your compelling personality to a large degree. It's so gratifying to see the effects that encouragement and prayers can have on a person. You have a lovely way of expressing your gratitude which will bring even more best wishes and prayers.

Hi Paul fellow Queensland resident here, amazing to see you so strong and full of laughter after your surgery. Rick gave me a good chuckle with the backwards McDonald's recipe, Also what a caring loving great friend you have right there Rick is an angel, Paul i hope you keep enjoying KFC for many many more years to come and keep us updated you are amazing and have a great funny lovable personality❤️👍🏼🙏
I can’t get over how much your friend looks like my brother-in-law and even his sense of humour, when we catch up he and I just laugh a whole lot and everyone joins in and we all have a great time,it’s been good to see you get through the op and be in such good spirits 😘
I'm so glad you got through today's procedure without any problems. I have to say that you had me at "dot matrix!" I'm 65, so I've been around a few more years than you, but your conversation with Rick about the transit card punches and the dot matrix printer was a real hoot and took me back in time. Hope you enjoyed the leftover KFC!. ❤
There's something really fun about reminiscing about old times. And as an IT geek, things like transit card punches and dot matrix printers are right up there. The KFC was delicious last night, but I still have plenty left. Fiona really did buy me an enormous amount of food. Thanks for writing. Paul.
Hi Paul, I came across your videos for the first time today. Your honesty, transparency and bravery is inspiring. Wishing you all the best and will be keeping up to date with you.Alan.
33:20 so true Paul. We are def along with you on this journey. You might be the most real and relatable entity on YT right now. I find your videos fascinating!
The Banana Splits song was a blast. You did very well for being 'anesthesia high'. I really loved listening in on your reminiscing with your friend, Rick. That was just lovely watching your respective reactions to those memories. Thank you for sharing. I'm so happy for you that your procedure went so well. Once again, thank you for your vulnerable sharing. I live in the USA, and all day yesterday, you were in my thoughts as I calculated what time it was in Perth. I was sending you positive thoughts & vibes as I imagined what you might be experiencing at various times. So, yes, you are being hoped for & prayed for. Sending you continuing well wishes on your ongoing journey & fight! ❤
I love that your friend sent you all that KFC. 😆 I’m glad to see you smiling after the port procedure. It actually helps so much to have one. You can ask your nurse for some numbing topical cream to put on before you go for your infusions so you don’t have to even feel the needle pokes at all. And I’m so glad you’re building a strong supportive community and setting boundaries. I too feel protective of you in my care. Oh and funny thing w a port is that you can sometimes taste a bit of what they put through it. It’s all ok but it was a shock to me the first time. ❤
Oh wow! I noticed the taste in my mouth when they injected the contrast agent for my CT. I guess I'm in for more of that. I'll remember the tip about the numbing cream. Is your port still installed? How long was it in for? Do you live in a country that has right hand drive cars? Did your car seatblet sit over the port when you drive? Did it hurt? Paul.
@@PaulinPerth I think I had mine in for a little over a year. You honestly get so used to it and I never had any problems w it hurting w a seatbelt or w anything else. It would sometimes feel a tiny bit irritated after chemo but not bad.❤ from Boston
@@heidi1651 OK, but if you live in Boston, then that means your driver's seat is on the left side of the vehicle. Was your port installed on the left or right pec?
Love that in the background your listening/watching an old episode of South Park (don't ask why I would recognize that!). Great sense of humor and you obviously like a good laugh. Much love to you Paul, from Airdrie in Scotland.
I feel so blessed i got to meet you via the interwebs you are AWESOME and I value your words so very much , sending love and light to you and your family
How I wish you the best Paul. To see your smiling eyes today makes me so happy, and of course, great to hear that your port went in Aok. What a cool, fun guy you are Paul, even though tears come also. I thank you for showing us your venture and how to be strong and fight amid all that is happening to you. You are a true inspiration to me and to all. Till tomorrow, good day.😁💐

Hi Paul, so glad to see you in such good spirits and with your mate by your side! I hope you know that you’re as much an inspiration to us as we are to you! Enjoy your KFC !!!
Hi paul, just 1 thing i want to say and im sure many will back this up but i personally do not think it matters what you did in the past, if we were friends outside of youtube it really wouldnt effect me having you as a friend and i think if people are judging you for your past, their not real friends !! Its no one elses business what you do or have previously done in your life, im really glad to see you so happy after your procedure and im glad you had rick there with you for support. Take care of yourself ❤
I am so glad that you had a better day than you anticipated.😊. You made me smile seeing you so cheerful. I hope that you have many more cheerful days. BTW. I remember that McDonalds contest. Here in Tennessee.. but I’m really impressed with Rick’s backwards version.
I've had a port since 2006 and and the second one I got 2015 hopefully they will let me have a port for the rest of my life back in 2006 I did ivig and rituxen treatments and now I only get ivig and I will get that medicine every 3 weeks for my entire life. Prayers for you

Love your comment. So true. Paul had us all singing tra la la. Maybe he’ll have us all obsessed now! What a fun way to bring all of us…his RUclips family together on what would have been another confronting day for Paul…and of course all of us who have grown to love him dearly.
@@PaulinPerth I love the Rainbow Connection and Kermit. I can't wait!
@@iBme-uBu Aaaaaawwww! I think I'm blushing.
It's a fun song, and there are times where a fun song with no deeper meaning is exactly what you need.
But FYI, I'm serious about singing in the voice of Kermit. You should know me better by now than to think I won't go through with that!
Paul.
Evening from Nottingham 🇬🇧 🎉sending you a hug Paul x
Glad you are feeling the love. It has to do with your compelling personality to a large degree. It's so gratifying to see the effects that encouragement and prayers can have on a person. You have a lovely way of expressing your gratitude which will bring even more best wishes and prayers.
Absolutely!!! We are your adopted RUclips sisters and brothers🤗😘. We are always here to lift you up to the light and walk beside you.
I really admire your strength. I was terrified each time I had a surgically implanted device. I have gone through 2 picc lines, 1 Hickman and 2 ports. I which I still have after a couple years because I am on banana bags daily and hydration. I'm 40. Have Ehlers Danlos , raynauds with sjogrens and anemia of chronic diseases. And we now have found lumps under both armpits. I'm so proud of you. You light up every room your in. Sending positive vibes ✨️. Xoxo- Playa
We are a family and we love you.
It will eventually be my time to go, as death comes to us all, however, I’m very happy that I came across your channel. You give us all perspective on both how to live and how to handle the inevitability of death. Thank you, you will forever be in my memory, and I’m sure that on my dying moments i will remember you and be more at peace. Wishing you the best and I hope I can keep seeing your vlogs for a long time!
Greetings Paul (and Rick)
I am quite happy today went so well for you. An upbeat attitude certainly helped.
I read a bunch of comments and believe you and your wonderful attitude have brought out the kindest and nicest responses.
I hope you gain extraordinary love, strength, and courage from your followers.
Into all lives, friends will fall ❤️🫂🌻
Until tomorrow, be well
Hi Paul fellow Queensland resident here, amazing to see you so strong and full of laughter after your surgery.
Just found you Paul, looked back on your history. What a guy, keep up the fight 💓
Man, i love watching and listening to you guys chatting and sharing stories. Such a beautiful connection ❤
❤❤❤ love and light buddy! You are in my thoughts! 🇺🇸
I’m loving how joyful you are today Paul ❤️….and you have the most amazing friends sending prayers & love!
Lovely to see you in a joyful mood. The photo at the end looked like an epic spread and made me hungry for KFC.
@@PaulinPerth left 🙂
Love that in the background your listening/watching an old episode of South Park (don't ask why I would recognize that!). Great sense of humor and you obviously like a good laugh. Much love to you Paul, from Airdrie in Scotland.
This is the joy.
Its nice to see you smile, positive attitude, wish you the best
I feel so blessed i got to meet you via the interwebs you are AWESOME and I value your words so very much , sending love and light to you and your family
You are in my thoughts throughout the day. So happy to see you smiling and chatting with your friend. Much love, Rita
Till tomorrow, good day.😁💐
You’re such a special and courageous man. Thank you for sharing your true self. Sending you warmest wishes

I’m happy we get to meet the people who love you. ❤❤❤
Totally agree with your friend, he spoke the exact words I’m sure we’re all feeling, the way you articulate your story Paul, we feel like we know you personally. You have opened your heart and the loving community you have created have enveloped you with Love. How awesome is it that you are going through this with so many people caring for you❤
I sang right along with you. It was fun. You’re doing great Paul. Sending you the biggest hug ❤
Glad you defined your boundaries, sang a happy song and munched on kfc! I'm a theatre nurse but I love listening to patients stories and history, I'm all.about the connection 😊

It’s nice to know you was smiling and having a laugh with a friend during this. I was thinking about you and hoping things went well. I hope you have a good weekend Paul whatever you have planned.

Hi Paul, so glad to see you in such good spirits and with your mate by your side! I hope you know that you’re as much an inspiration to us as we are to you! Enjoy your KFC !!!
Sending you love, light, and strength, honey x
Paul your kindness reaches all the way to North Carolina, USA. Thank you.
Just sang along during lunch in Atlanta. Good job & love your transparency & humor ❤
So heartwarming to see your smile and hear your laugh. Glad everything went well today. One day at a time! Sending much love and prayers. ❤️🙏
I've had a port since 2006 and and the second one I got 2015 hopefully they will let me have a port for the rest of my life back in 2006 I did ivig and rituxen treatments and now I only get ivig and I will get that medicine every 3 weeks for my entire life. Prayers for you
It's great to see you laughing with your friends. Makes me happy. 💚💛🧡☘ Love from Virginia, USA.
Tra la la - I’ll now be singing this for days
Sorry. Not sorry.
