Ashley, I have a lot in common with you. I’m a 38 yr old mom, runner, reseller, and sounds like we have similar “upbringings”. That self-doubt that you constantly hear in your head is 100% a result of childhood trauma. I deal with it every single day. Just remember, if your boys were saying those things to themselves that you often think about yourself, what would you say to them? You would tell them it’s not true, and how wonderful they are. You need to do the exact same thing for yourself. This is a “strategy” that I have been using. If I heard my daughter saying “you’re so stupid sometimes” or “you suck at this”, I would build her up. Do the exact same thing for yourself, Ashley. I don’t think those feelings of self doubt and constantly self criticizing will ever completely go away, but we have to work to tell ourselves that it’s not true. You are a great person, Ashley. Be kind to yourself. ❤❤
You are amazingly clueless and that's why people love you!! Let me explain what I mean by that... you are stunningly beautiful and have no idea how gorgeous you are, have a fun bubbly personality that makes you incredibly appealing to watch and are genuinely likeable in a way that makes everyone feel like you would be a great friend. I feel the same way, I didn’t start living until much later. I was an angry kid and teen because of my parents as well. I saw something online along the lines of “Be the person your younger self would of looked up to/felt protected by”. From what you’ve said, I think you accomplished that. So continue making your younger self proud.❤

Don't ever doubt yourself. I know I'm not the only one but I used to sell the most boring stuff. You have taught me so much about a lot of different brands. You have given me confidence to start selling women clothing.
I could totally relate to your experience as a teen. I was tortured as a child and never thought I'd make it out of there alive. I'm "75," now and while my life hasn't been easy, I have 3 beautiful children and 7 grandchildren. My children have multiple degrees and have attained financial success. And my grandchildren are of course magnificent. I enjoy your videos Ashley and appreciate all your accomplishments. If I were your mom, I'd be singing your praises daily. I’ve never known anyone with a life like mine. I also was raised that way. Working in my families restaurant. Over worked and never paid. My step dad is a first class A Hole. He would say….what do u need a day off for? Watching tv is a waste so I worked 11am-10pm , 7 days a week. Lonely, no friends. Just horrible horrible time in my life. My story ends different. My step dad ended up getting dementia, ends up in nursing home…karma? My mom is awesome and was also a victim of his abuse. My mom and I end up with our restaurant and FINALLY…at 48 life is good❤❤❤. That was a very short version. Your amazing ❤❤❤
I can relate to a difficult start in life. But i turned to drinking quite young and became alcoholic, married had 2 children by 24 & divorced by 26. Thankfully, I've been sober over 40 years now. In many ways thing are better & I've worked hard to heal but even being older now, trauma can come up again.
I uave 2 daughters & 2 granddaughters who are the light of my life!

I’m so grateful that you have continued to educate us on brands and styles. I watch a lot of resellers and several have just devolved into shop alongs, which is fun but not not helpful.
And I agree that we assume that our 20s are supposed to be the best years of our lives when in reality they ARE NOT. Just wait, every decade improves 😊

Wow, I just had to comment. Your moment of nostalgia brought me to my knees. We just lost our baby two days ago at 17 weeks pregnant to a fatal birth defect. Our world feels like it’s crashing down around me. Last night we had a major sewage issue and are still unable to use toilets, showers, dishwashers. That added stress feels almost unbearable to me, so I forced myself to take a break and get a walk in on the treadmill and watch one of your videos to decompress. Your talk in the middle of your video caught me completely off guard and it felt like a pep talk that I desperately needed. Also my name is Ashley.

The more toned down editing style of this video is a lot more palatable and easier to watch. Don't get me wrong, I love it when the editor cuts in with dialogue explaining comps or other relevant tidbits and I totally think that's constructive and adds to the quality of the video - it's just the excessive noise and video cuts that get me riled up 😬. Great job on this one! A++
