awesome image! has this been anti-duplicated? it looks like it from some of the sega and nintendo consoles (lower numbers of games, guessing duplicates removed?). thank you , this is a LOT of hard work and time the creator has put into this.

In this day and age with gigabit internet connections, do we really need to be cutting .img files into a zillion pieces, compressing them, and putting them in an archive? Just offer up the entire 2TB image in its entirety. Your way requires you to have enough space to download the archive and space to decompress it, which takes hours. I could care less about the tiny bit of data savings from the compression.
I totally forgot about your amazing site !! and only today found an old shortcut to it.. And then I see this and (downloaded) and then I seen the Wii u CoinOPS Forgotten Universe (downloaded) and told a few mates to get there, as I know they will love the wii version of it.. It been a pleasure going through the site and forum and catching up on everything.. Great work !!

Hello, after unpacking I have an img file, how do I get it to run on the PC ?
Is there a way to turn usefull tools in batocera like the filemanager on in this build? Btw there seem to be quite a few doubles for instance in the Sega model 2 section. But nice that daytona usa arcade works thought! (edit : found it ... i should have looked better :) )

I have the 512gb batocera image for raspberry and it got support for ps2, wii and gamecube emulators after update, does this image for pc work the same way with updating since in the video he says this image doesn't support ps2 and over as is?

But when I select it with Rufus it says
File not supported
you do not convert it to ISO, just burn the original img file to your drive with rufus, or what ever software you use, hope this helps :)

Hi there, I hope this helps. I have bought Batocera builds that were compiled on mechanical drives (to save the builders money because they are cheaper) and they work fine. If you you want to protect your image, there are plenty of tutorials on how to clone the info on your mechanical drive to a SSD drive if you want to save all the hard work you did downloading these huge images.
Hello, I can't get it to work, I have Windows 11. I wrote the image to SSD, but only 3 folders come up when I start the SSD - Boot, EFI, Tools and Btoocera-boot.conf.

Lol, they probably used RGS's build as a base, then added some more titles and sections to it. The theme is a new theme that recently came out. Its a glass theme that people are using. I personally hate it. Looks too forced for me. But yeah, this is most likely RGS's build :.)

In some games when I start with two players, player number two is all perfect, but player number 1 the stick doesn't work, only the buttons work, I think I've already put the control in the settings like 3 times and still the same, that they recommend and if does anyone have the same problem, thanks
I've always had this problem with batocera unfortunately. Never figured it out..
@@tosvusDid you get the upgrade board so that the x-arcade is ready as a controller and not a keyboard? That might be a factor.

I downloaded the 1707 files from the rapidgator website.
I am not being able to decompress it and have the IMAGE file. Did anyone get it?
I suppose I should use 7Z de decompress it, but right on the first file, 7Z says "Can't open 2Dai4_2TB_PC_BobbyCera_PureRetro.7z.001 as a compressed file."
I also tried to use the 7zip Extract command on context menu to a 16TB harddrive directly and keeps saaying it cannot be opened.
Did it work with anyone? Please @ArcadePunks help me. Thank you in advance.

Noobie question please don't kill me: Batocera 36?... I just want it to play nice out of the box with Sinden... with your light Gun image. Amazing work btw. I have an ALU on the way and want to have a mini PC on it for light guns only.

I'm currently extracting the image. Is taking for-ever. two days almost. And that was AFTER two days downloading. It was also a hastle to find a drive to download AND extract. I'll flash it probably tomorrow and test the sinden gun. I hope is plug and play.
@@angeljason01 Good, let me know how it does... I need 2 more weeks with good luck to be able to set mine up. I wanted to use this image but storage and Teknoparrot, got me to change my mind (am still using the RetroLizard image for my main PC), so I downloaded a 125GB Lightgun Build for Launchbox and dusted out my retro HDD with all the light gun games in existence. I saw somewhere that you may need to hold the button on Sinden (on the fly) for re-calibration per system emulated, or something like that. BTW: Have a LaunchBox light gun build for Teknoparrot games so you don't miss out on those. LaunchBox might not be plug'play but I don't think Sinden setup is as bad as people claim. Those games are worth the hassle though.

Here's my experience so far with this image:
- It took me a week to download.
- I was able to unzip it.
- Windows says image cannot be mounted but I've noticed that I can mount in my linux machine. Inside of it there's a batocera system folder with a 2tb userdata_.img (I dont remember the name).
- I'm now trying to mount it to my 2TB external HDD using Rufus. The calculated build time is 40hrs LOL. Rufus is writing at 20Mb/s (this is very slow compared to the average write speed that my HDD has)
It seems that people have experienced problems with some games and the whole img itself. I hope that the corrupted image was not shared via torrent. Still it makes me think if all this manual work is worth... I keep you guys updated if anyone is interested.
Additional details:
- I've tried to mount the img using balena Etcher (alternative to Rufus) but it didn't allowed as it complained that it requires additional 33Mb of space on my external WD 2TB HDD. Rufus didn't complained so I hope It's not a real issue...
In case anyone is wondering, the mount process took around 45hrs. Rufus failed at around 98% due to "Chosen device is being used by another process. Please, close the process before using this device. [006880] C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE (r)"
However as far as I've tested the image is working beautifully well! A lot of games, some very cool themes, Artflix is included, Mega bezels shaders are included. I think this is the best "pure retro" / low spec image !
@renanss, please help me. How did you unzip the file? I am a regular Windows user. I'll learn Linux to be able to decompress it. Could you please show me the steps, since I have Linux running? What software to unzip it? I downloaded the image from the RAPIDGATOR website(not the torrent)
@@MarioRenor I just unzipped using 7zip on Windows that was the easiest part. The only thing I did before was check if any file was corrupted by using 7zip itself. After a long time it did not found errors and then I proceeded with the unzip… hope it helps
Tengo 300mbps y descargo en 24 horas, se descomprimió con winrar en 27 horas y para quemar la IMG tardo 12 horas, esto último puede tardar solo 6 horas si cancelamos la comprobación. Ahora funcionando todo muy bien 👍🏻

NEED HELP! I downloaded the file, but just have a ton of 7z files now. How do I turn all these files into a bootable batocera desktop machine to where I can turn it on and boot? I never done this before and need help
extract all with 7-zip. should create one file then flash with Etcher Balena to a 2TB hard driver or SSD/NVME. Make sure source HDD has enough space to extract 2TB more into it.

a mi me paso igual , porque usaba winrar , pero cuando use 7zip me dio el error pero si se creo la .img y si la pude pasar a un disco duro con el rufus , y todo va de al 100 😃👍

Guess i’m doing something wrong. I need some help if I’m missing a step.
Downloaded 2TB Batocera PC Image from 2DAI4 using TIXATI torrent program.
No worries there.
I converted it to an image file
No worries there.
I used BalenaEtcher to burn image to 4TB drive.
After burning was done it gave me 1 drive that has 3 separate sections.
1. H: Drive, 6 GB Fat32, Healthy (Basic Data Par
2. 1838.39 GB, Healthy (Primary Partition
3. 1881.60 GB Unallocated
So I restart my computer (F12) and find the drive, from the list;
One says WD My Passport, but blank screen if I start from this drive.
Second says UEFI: WD My Passport and this one starts and says on the bottom Batocera linex Continues to load and gives me a full screen of Batocera Graphics, but stays there on the screen.
If anyone know what I have to press or something i’m missing, please follow up with something I can try.
Any solution?

I just downloaded it but i'm a complete noob, but which file do you unzip. Sorry just very new to this.
You right click on the very first 7 zip file. You can choose unzip here, or better yet, create a folder specifically for your image file and call it whatever you want like 2 TB Batocera build. Extract the files to this folder. Take a break, because it will take a long time. When it is done, you will have an image file in your folder. Use Balena Etcher to load your image onto a clean hard drive either external or internal if you plan to use this solely as a gaming rig. Look up tutorials on how to get a Batocera image on a hard drive for more info.

No. There are no PS2 games in this particular image. This is specifically built for lower end PCs to run on. It will not play the newer games like Wii, WiiU, Xbox, Xbox360, Playstation or Playstation 2. There are builds that can do this, but you will more than likely need a PC with a dedicated graphics card.
after 1 week downloading gives me error when unzipping "error in headers" anyone know the reason?
try to unzip again with 7-zip and see if that helps.

Has anyone had trouble with extracting this img?
I have downloaded twice once using rapidgator and once through realdebrid torrent all through jdownloader ri have tried extracting with 7zip and WinRAR and no luck says corrupted.
I had the exact same problem. 7zip says the header is corrupt. Took me a full week to download it and now I can't get it to extract. I'm afraid to share it with BT too...why bother sharing a corrupt image? Did you get it to work and if so, how?
no issues with -7zip, downloaded in 4 days and extracted fine and burned to 2TB NVME/2TB Mechanical HDD too and both work great !
