One of the most perfectly crafted monologues I've ever heard.

Look up Jay Larson Prank Call. He did a 5 minute joke on Conan that was amazing
The fact that it's all made up says a lot about the genius of that bit. Imagine conceiving of something like that, with all the details and mini-punchlines and everything. Truly a masterpiece of stand up comedy.
If he had been Hasan Minhaj, he would have been canceled.

The use contractor's dual pronunciation so close together and with perfect context was elite level wordsmithing.
His attention to detail is astounding. Truly god-tier.
I stumbled upon this today. It is genius. So interesting how he conceived of a concept that required pop culture to catch up to so many years later
Until this moment I did assume the state abbreviation doc was real

I heard that Gary was going to tell about another documentary where a guy owns a bunch of tigers. But he said that nobody would believe it.
Been a Gary fan since last comic standing.
I never heard of him before , but he killed it with that monologue, and his mastery of the language.
He’s a genius and has no idea that he’s a genius. I listen to his comedy all the time and it’s always so intelligently funny.
My favorite is his cookie bit. Still so funny.

Just as well this was a pre-1973 release since after that the line would've been "Down in F-L", which doesn't scan so well."

I remember after watching the state set he did. I went onto google and typed "State Abbreviations Documentary" So I could watch it but later found out it was fake.
