    Your videos inspire me to hit the small creeks in my hood! Thanks. Multi species are way fun to fish, even if they're small! People who don't understand fishing, it's your surroundings, and holding, and looking at the fish! It's awesome.....

    I enjoyed watching all your videos. I like how realistic you are, that you fish heavily for trout, fish creeks, rivers, and small lakes. That’s the type of fishing I enjoy here in Alberta, Canada. Thanks for all the gear tips as well. Please keep filming more.

    U fish the right way by casting a line 8-15 ft away that's the way my grandfather taught me to fish, the fish can see outside the water and anything (human or animal) will spook them ... this increases your catch and shows your patience in the sport your a good fisherman

      I beg to differ, I've worn bright neon shirts and stood 2 feet from the water and caught my limit within 20 minutes. But you know what WILL spook a trout? River otters and beavers. Seen that happen too many times.

    Hey what’s up just a quick question. I’ve noticed on my (8 lbs fluorocarbon) line that once in while there are little weak spots. I’m not sure if it’s a fray or not because it’s is pretty small and insignificant and hard to notice, but I can tell something probably happened to it and it’s a weak spot if not a fray. There’s no ripped line by the spots or anything, just bent and weak.
    Do you think it’s safe to cast and fish with these small frays? I’m afraid it can snap either by a strong cast or a hook set but on the other hand it’s so small, and I don’t know what can happen if I don’t do anything about it and just leave it.
    If you had experience with these kind of things, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks

    • @FishHawk
      @FishHawk  6 лет назад

      I'd rather be safe than sorry. I run my fingers up and down my line every once and a while to check for rough spots or weak spots. If there are some that seem bad/rough I will cut and re-tie. Takes less than a minute to cut and re-tie. You could hook your PB on the next cast. Best to re-tie!

    Just went there last week and tons of white bass! Also caught a 3ft northern so it’s also a good spot for pike I guess so. About a 6hr drive from where I live to Devils Lake but it’s worth it 100% I’ll really appreciate it if you’d give it a try

      I was using an Okuma Stratus V10. It's rated for 2, 4 or 6 lb line. The 2500 Sienna might be a little big, but would still work. Ultra light rod would work well.
