I made a lvl 50 Fraxure for ultra league and have a lvl 48.5 xl shadow Piloswine for ultra league, and they're a great pair when even used together! Everyone in my discord couldn't believe I built the fraxure over Haxorus long ago!😂 I wanna get the xl for Shadow Golbat, and run it with the shadow magneton I already have built. The middle evolutions are *TOO UNDERRATED* for ultra league!
It's such a shame certain Pokemon don't have better moves. Shelgon can learn Dragon Claw, Body Slam, Crunch and Rock Slide in the main series and I think they should add more moves to less viable Pokemon.
Its really interesting to see what pokemon could get. I caught a shiny Audino with good IV's for GL and was disappointed that its quick moves were so terrible. Now I'm praying that through some grace of god that its able to snag Incinerate for itself. Would be kind of unique for a pure normal, and really let it shine.
hey guys! with all the Greninjas roaming around, I have a team for you to shut them down: - Shadow Dragonite (must be shadow) lead, Dragon Breath-Dragon Claw-Superpower - Shadow Poliwrath (normal variant is okay), Counter-Scald-Ice Punch - Shadow Venusaur (normal works good as well), Vine Whip-Frenzy Plant-Sludge Bomb even tho it is a no-legendary pokemon team it is very strong (in 2300-2600 elo range), most of the time you just double shield the Dragonite and get both shields back and then you have 2 decently bulky pokemon in the back that can also hit hard (that's when the shadow attack bonus comes handy)... from 2300 up I haven't had a negative set, worst was 2-2+1 draw
Shelgon and honesty its evo, Salamence, would really benefit from a bait move. Dragon claw or Crunch are options, or if you wanna overkill then Breaking Swipe. Honestly, I'd kinda like them to add Dual Wingbeat to pogo and have it be a flying type bait move and give it to Salamance. That way it does something different from Dragonite and Rayquaza.
@@ider8476 I guess dragon claw would balance it more since it's bulkier than Sal. Maybe wing atk and swipe for the final evo?? Would be so nice to drop quick dracos in Masters
The lag was so bad this weekend, I lost many matches where I hard countered opponents, dropped over 300 elo on Saturday alone so I just gave up for the weekend lol.

I don't understand the logic of no-shielding when you suspect the Pokémon on the back is weak to your current Mon. In the first game the opponent brought in Empoleon to Trev, why would you not keep the Trev as healthy as possible in that case if they're clearly weak in the back?
They should make Twister a Poison Fang clone. 40 damage for 40 energy and a defence debuff. I don't think it would be broken on Gyarados, it isn't Breaking Swipe. *The move deserves a buff, it has a really cool animation.*
Just caught a hundo SHADOW bagon... looking at options. might just make a better raid attacker as hundo, level 50 Salamence. Though shadow Dragon breath could be interesting. Other dragons in the common meta get their charge moves off a lot faster though, so I don't know.
Nice but if you happen to have an extra regular Hundo one then that's what I'd use for spice ultra league and allow that Shundo to really shine as a lvl 51 Shundo Mega Salamence. Unless of course you happen to have two Shundos? 😅
Goon cannot beat Dragon Breath Giritina with 2 shields. Even using double Obstruct with 2 shield it still loses. The only way it wins is if Giritina has 1 shield and it has 2 or both have 1 shield, or in the zero shield. Being that both were on the lead it's a Giritina match if both of you choose to shield twice. The opponent would have to let the Giritina go but Goon would be really low by then, around 14 HP, but you win at least.
Imagine having a SHUNDO Shelgon and being like "yeah a shundo Dragonite would be kinda cool but not as cool as s shundo maxed out Shelgon for ultra league of course" (This is a "joke" btw, of course my guy did some battles for the memes and then instantly evolved it. Or at least that's what i hope he did 😅)

I did some checking and it would be a very similar mon to Dragonair if it got Body Slam.

Definitely agree! Running second-evo Pokemon is always fun, but they way too often have a bad moveset. Especially starter Pokemon.
I like that idea of leaning into their flying typing bc if it's whole lore/dream to fly. Shel would be great with breaking swipe lol
From what I've looked up, it looks like Shelgon doesn't learn Breaking Swipe so its very unlikely Shelgon will ever get the move
