  • I used the PatioGem seed starter kit to start most of my garden this year. I am excited to report that the product exceeded my expectations! It worked so well. 100% of my seeds germinated and survived to the transplant stage. You can see in the video that all of my seedlings are now huge adult plants and are producing a lot of vegetables for us to eat. We will be using these seed starter kits every gardening season here at Collins Country.

    are you supposed to turn the light on 24h/5days?

    • @CollinsCountry
      @CollinsCountry  2 года назад +4

      +Tito Vong I do. I leave the light on constantly because it’s like a greenhouse with a constant sun:) It grows the plants fast and easily!

    Is the light enough to avoid leggy seedlings?

    • @CollinsCountry
      @CollinsCountry  Год назад +1

      Yes:) I did not have one issue with leggy seedlings with this light:)

    Just purchased these! How often do you water your seeds?

    • @CollinsCountry
      @CollinsCountry  Год назад +2

      +Kelley Davalos yay! You’ll love them:) I water them when the water starts to look dry. Usually every 3-5 days. They don’t use a lot of water when they are that small:) once you place the seeds in wet soil, make sure you don’t water again until the sprouts come up and the soil starts to lose its moisture. You can overwater plants, but it is hard to do with these frayed because they have drainage holes that drain into the bottom tray. But if the bottom tray gets completely full with water it won’t allow for the water to drain out of the soil… I hope this helps:)

    Why do you add water in the bottom before adding the soil trays in? And is it required to add water in the bottom?

    • @CollinsCountry
      @CollinsCountry  10 месяцев назад

      Because the plants can absorb water frmo the bottom as the roots extend down:)

    Hi. How long was it from planting the seeds to putting the seedlings outside? Thanks for the info

    • @CollinsCountry
      @CollinsCountry  11 месяцев назад

      Hey! Honestly, I cannot remember exactly. But base it on your climate. I kept them in the trays until it was warm enough outside to trasplant. I think it was 4ish weeks if I remember correctly. Once they get too tall to keep the lid on, they can continue to grow without the lid and artificial light...
