I think RV said it right in title 24, if you go off track it should cost you a few seconds, how Mike worded it sounds like from now on riders can avoid all the jumps seems it’s a longer distance around the track, definitely isn’t worth the 340$ yearly membership as an Aussie atm, SMX need to get their sh*t together a little better

2022 MX was the year sexton and tomac had those awesome battles. @ hangtown sexton went 2-2 his fastest lap in moto 1 was a 2:09.496 and in moto 2 a 2:11.184. Fast forward 2023 we all know jett went 1-1 every moto. His times @ hangtown moto 1 2:09.371 and moto 2 2:10.799. Close times but Jett will give sexton problems again this weekend unless he beats himself! Chase will get close and then Jett turns up the pace to 2-3 second or more gap and then ride safe. Somewhat of a Casey stoner mentality!

i 100% feel the same way. We're missing a lot of action going down as its happening becoz of the babbling dragging on and on. Its like watching a documentary and not a LIVE race. Theyre missing a lot with the riders that arent up front too clueless coz too busy takimg 5 min to make their point then finally calling it 2 or 4 laps later coz a replay popped up surprising them but its way worse and more aggravating in SX
Weege calls a good race, but the broadcast engineers call the shots. They think we moto fans like drama: multiple replays of Masterpool crash DURING RACING, interviews DURING RACING. Slowmo replays of starts & first turn crashes DURING RACING. Hoping for big cartwheel crashes so they can show ripped jerseys, walking back to pits or being carted off instead of showing RACING!!!

Ye, injuries are inevitable in this sport and therefore every precaution to prevent them must be taken. That pileup on press day was due to incompetence and was totally preventable. This sport is dangerous enough and the last thing we need is accidents caused by incompetence and negligence.
I see Mike Pelletier explains what he explained. Fine, but there is one issue that I feel he needs to address. He worked by the rule as he read it. Fine. Now it's time to change and update the rule.
I don't feel the rule needs to be changed.... they need to be consistent. Deegan (whom I am a big fan of) accelerated on two of the three off track jaunts he had. On one he raised his hand an on the other he stopped accelerating after he had thrown roost for half the time he was off track amd the third one was a non issue in my opinion. So either penalize Deegan or Don't penalize Vaille. Be consistent damnit!

I like watching press day and all that, but I don’t think it’s worth the risk because a lot of good riders end up getting hurt on a pointless day. That would be my only downfall about practicing on press day. I love watching the guys out there riding, but I hate seeing good riders go down on a day that means nothing.🫡🙏✌️🇺🇸💯💪🤙😎👍
