Haima lies at the centre of nizwa and salalah,and at thw centre of desert,petroleum development of oman mostly has works in that region.
And after haima the costal city of duqm as well is developing fast but mainly for industrial side

I am planning a trip to Riyadh soon. I can not find any petrol pumps on google maps in between Z Oil Petrol station and petrol station in Haradh. If you have some info can you share google map pin for thr dame?
Yes brother you are right
There are only three petrol stations
1 at the border make sure you fill you tank full
2nd one which you mention somewhere near shobaitah which you can see in my video as well at 24min
Thats 264 km from border so normally you should not have any trouble
Next one then in haradh

There are two ways
One through batha and UAE thats the fastest if you can have UAE visa
Second one is through empty quarter border and then towards nizwa and muscat which is mostly desert

Yes , the raod overall is very good specially till batha, around riyadh there will be rough as many construction is going on but no problem in going in a car
You should fill up at the border right after you enter saudi then there is a petrol pump after 350km so it should be enough
Yes you have to get insurance at border there is office on the border

Recently I’ve visited Saudi through this road and my experience was
Border you can clear with in 10minutes, from Border to Batha road is new and good but only two lanes one for coming and another for going. The speed limit is 90KMPH, but road is designed to drive 160KMPH. About the travel time is Upto you how speed you’ll drive. There are so many trucks and Omani vehicles were passing so nothing to afraid. I got captured in few speed cameras but no fines were registered after my 17days return.
You can travel with Family.

1. The total distance is close to 580 km,i cleared the border at 1.20 saudi time and reached batha interchange at around 6.30
That include a one hour break for lunch somewhere after 400 km from saudiborder
2. Road condition in excellent until al haradh, from al haradh till al kharj is what i can say is bad as due to heavy traffic much of the road is not level and many repair work is going on so have to be carefull
3. Yes its very safe as almost after an interval of time police patrolling is there so i would suggest to travel in day and reach the destination within 8pm or before
