After documenting the incandescent LFE signals, I went and documented the crossing over on Roanoke Road, since I hadn't done so yet. Over there, I saw another northbound lined up the Lineville Sub, so I quickly finished documenting that crossing. As that crossing features a modern pair of CSX signals, however (which I will admit I didn't feel like trying to record), I decided to try and get back over to Vernon Road to record it. Unfortunately, as I got over here, the crossing activated, so this was the video I wound-up getting. The train turned-out to be a monster empty coal that appears to have been two empty coal trains combined into one, with six GEs powering it and a total of 996 axles (as you can hear on the detector read-out at the end). Wish the detector here read-out how long the train itself was, as it'd be interesting to know. Willing to bet at least 2 miles long, however.
