I can't think of the last time we got this much arpeggio oscillation from you. You often seem to avoid it, maybe because of its explicitly 8-bit compositional sound that doesn't seem to match more modern music. I think I like it though, ngl

first of all i'm in love with this arrangement lmao
i'm biased because i love arps but i really liked their placement in the melody, made it feel more distinctly like a chiptune cover
and also when they became the complimenting harmony to the melody part-way through, loved that
lastly that counter-melody you added at 0:55 was such a nice touch, it gave that segment a lot more life from being just the build up

He does not take requests, and he generally doesn't do multiple tracks from the same game/series in a row. It's kind of whatever he ends up hearing and liking enough to spend a month on, and then once he's spent a month listening to it over and over and over again, he's usually tired of it and moves on to something completely different.

@@Nat_the_Chicken I don't mind hearing requests, even if I rarely take them into consideration. I like seeing what other music people would like to hear anyway! especially if they're obscure
@@branflakes325 When I really think about it, there aren't many soundtracks I'm into that are obscure, are focused on melodic content and not mostly ambience, and don't already have an 8-bit sound or similar.
Evoland 2 is a decent recommendation; a lot of the songs are generic RPG and not that interesting, but the style constantly shifts along with the gameplay, so you get the occasional gem like Giro's Lab/Battling Robots, or the rooftop chase track. Or if you want REALLY obscure, you could take a look at Skinny (a Flash game by Thomas Brush which verges on ambient soundscape style - Thomas Brush has some paid game releases full of his unique and interesting compositions).
In terms of something that's not obscure, I'd love to see you cover a track from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. I really loved some of the things that game did with some Breath of the Wild's tracks, and in fact many benefit from direct comparison, so you could even combine, for example, an "Attack On" track and a "Looms" track for the same Divine Beast!

I personally am really turned off by the non-stop arpeggios in an otherwise good track. Maybe in a future song you can make parts of the song not arps?
