An absolutely beautiful show, though I feel it could've been expanded on more. I really hope for a sequel, manga, or some other way to get more of the world, because I love the characters and the world created, and I want to see more of it. I also want even more music like we got already, because the songs are totally gorgeous.
Not trying to be a buzzkill but sequels to shows from Trigger are unheard of; IIRC only LWA had a sort of sequel by getting a two cour anime, an OVA might be possible but I doubt it would expand much on the show considering how rushed the later epsiodes were and at a very unlikely best it might have a movie.

honestly, the main plot points of the story are pretty self contained. If anything, it is as "open ended" as the conclusion to Kill La Kill. If t here is a story to show afterwards it will be an experience removed from the original in a lot of ways where many mysteries were already solved as it pertains to the main characters.
Pretty sure that was only season one of the show or part one, since trigger really dosent do seasons. All of their shows I remember usually go mid 20's in episodes. So just wait, most likely next year.

I haven't listened to this music since I watched the show and holly crap it makes me sooo nostalgic i'm literally crying ;-; It's a show that I really really love, it was really a mood brightener during those difficult times... reading through the comments, I feel like not enough people appreciate just how much branflakes is squeezing the nes of all it's juices and mopping up every last drop. Like, using the vrc6 channels as the vocals, but switching between duty settings depending on the note to make it sound like the timbre of actual vocals rather than a consistent and unchanging, but flat and lifeless sound. Or like at 2:15, the way he layers two different pulse channels to give the vocals a light echo, making the whole song sound more full and complete and godammit I just love this remix so much

I had a dream where after a several-season run, there was an ending sequence where a organ version of “Night Running” was playing over Michiru and Nazuna’s wedding. And Shirou was officiating it. Then, a flash forward where Michiru just gave birth (shapeshifting possible explanation), and Nazuna held her and her wife’s new daughter Lion King-style. And the baby was a purple fox with a raccoon-like mask.
2nd anime i've ever watched, got into anime mostly because of this. You probably don't even realise it, but this made my life so much better and I can't thank you enough. Even though this is only half a year old, I'm getting a strong nostalgic feeling listening to this
I can't believe it took me 4 years to find out this show exists but I am so glad that the community is still celebrating this show and doing it justice. And if they ever make another season of this show I hope this version of the song is playing in it. Not gonna lie I about cried listening for the first time, good job man.
I know this’ll be an unpopular opinion here but, the show was just sorta “okay”, not a ridiculous masterpiece (not that many are claiming it is). I absolutely love the animation, core idea, world setting and such, but the show feels EXTREMELY rushed with it’s storyline and the ending just sorta made me go “what?”. The show would have benefitted massively from being 20-24 episodes. Hope it gets a second season sort of, there’s a decent amount of stuff to build off of and I feel as though it could be expanded upon. If there is a second season, I hope it has more episodes than 12.
Trigger doesn't usually do 2nd seasons but a lotta stuff in BNA felt like a leadup to another season that could get into the topics they never really fully covered in the first season. I really hope they dont leave this series as is

I just realized that I could watch BNA on another site. I've been sitting here for 3 weeks, waiting for BNA on Netflix to unlock and now I feel like a dumbass.
The show sadly have a messed up pacing and a shallow undeveloped story. It’s like a 24 episode anime crammed into 12(not exact number, for I have forgot about it) and missing half the presentation. I was so hyped before the release of the last part, then I walk away like ‘is that all you can deliver TRIGGER? What a forgettable anime.’ I am not gonna say ‘aT LEaSt tHe mUSiC iS GoOd’ bc it is like the only nice thing people would say to Sonic Forces(and generally bad game and anime) lol, but you understand that’s the reason why I am here.
Last 2-4 episodes just rushed right to the damn end, first 7-8 were paced pretty well, but then it was like the writers ran out of time and just had to skip like 6-8 episodes worth of storytelling. It is my biggest gripe with the show and REALLY brings it down. Still worth watching, but 20-24 episodes woulda been great.
Yeah, I'd give it a 7.5. It's not an 8, but the art direction and music do bring it up from a 6 for me, Trigger never misses the mark on those, thankfully(although, did they really have to use Night Running as a story element?). The story on the other hand, in addition to being crammed into 13 episodes, felt like it was written by a group of people that all wanted it to be different things and as such it ended up being unfocused and underdeveloped in all directions. The themes ended up unresolved, many good concepts were unexplored, the character chemistry and writing felt shallow, some twists that could've probably made for a better story were abandoned in favor of classic tropes, the dolphin girl episode was a mistake etc etc etc. It's a shame, too, it really had(and, honestly, still has) a lot of potential, but ended up just feeling... underwhelming. Not _bad,_ just... eh.

I can't believe it took me 4 years to find out this show exists but I am so glad that the community is still celebrating this show and doing it justice. And if they ever make another season of this show I hope this version of the song is playing in it. Not gonna lie I about cried listening for the first time, good job man.

I know this’ll be an unpopular opinion here but, the show was just sorta “okay”, not a ridiculous masterpiece (not that many are claiming it is). I absolutely love the animation, core idea, world setting and such, but the show feels EXTREMELY rushed with it’s storyline and the ending just sorta made me go “what?”. The show would have benefitted massively from being 20-24 episodes. Hope it gets a second season sort of, there’s a decent amount of stuff to build off of and I feel as though it could be expanded upon. If there is a second season, I hope it has more episodes than 12.

Trigger doesn't usually do 2nd seasons but a lotta stuff in BNA felt like a leadup to another season that could get into the topics they never really fully covered in the first season. I really hope they dont leave this series as is
TheKirby8u That’s true, Trigger doesn’t do second seasons. Although I could see Netflix perhaps pushing for one if it’s a success. Also, if the show truly was rushed to be released ( it REALLY feels like it was), perhaps they may like to do more with it since they didn’t get to fully flesh it out the first go around? I feel like it’s a bit of a toss-up, guess all anyone can really do is sit and wait for news I guess?
I totally agree. I've only watched 5 episodes, but man, I want to know more about the characters, but it is so rushed.

I mean, to be fair the whole show only fully released on Japanese Netflix like ten days ago and we're already getting it in a month. Took way longer for Beastars and it's not even aired fully on TV over there yet.

The show sadly have a messed up pacing and a shallow undeveloped story. It’s like a 24 episode anime crammed into 12(not exact number, for I have forgot about it) and missing half the presentation. I was so hyped before the release of the last part, then I walk away like ‘is that all you can deliver TRIGGER? What a forgettable anime.’ I am not gonna say ‘aT LEaSt tHe mUSiC iS GoOd’ bc it is like the only nice thing people would say to Sonic Forces(and generally bad game and anime) lol, but you understand that’s the reason why I am here.

Last 2-4 episodes just rushed right to the damn end, first 7-8 were paced pretty well, but then it was like the writers ran out of time and just had to skip like 6-8 episodes worth of storytelling. It is my biggest gripe with the show and REALLY brings it down. Still worth watching, but 20-24 episodes woulda been great.

Yeah, I'd give it a 7.5. It's not an 8, but the art direction and music do bring it up from a 6 for me, Trigger never misses the mark on those, thankfully(although, did they really have to use Night Running as a story element?). The story on the other hand, in addition to being crammed into 13 episodes, felt like it was written by a group of people that all wanted it to be different things and as such it ended up being unfocused and underdeveloped in all directions. The themes ended up unresolved, many good concepts were unexplored, the character chemistry and writing felt shallow, some twists that could've probably made for a better story were abandoned in favor of classic tropes, the dolphin girl episode was a mistake etc etc etc. It's a shame, too, it really had(and, honestly, still has) a lot of potential, but ended up just feeling... underwhelming. Not _bad,_ just... eh.
