Defense need a full revamp. Boom tech aka hit stick been in the game. All those hit stick animations look the same! No arms tackles where a defender actually wrap the ball carrier up! DBs don’t break on balls in the air! Linebackers don’t pass off crossing routes! Try to make defense realistic to.

Played the beta and this game is miles better than 24, I haven’t purchased a madden since 18 definitely grabbing this
I think the problem with most players is they want to hit stick everybody whether they’re in position or not. And when it doesn’t work they say the game is broken. I’ve never been one to even use the hit stick I primarily use conservative tackle with much better results. Hit stick and aggressive tackle are meant to be used in certain situations as far as having leverage on a player or the ball carrier already being wrapped up. That’s when you’re supposed to use it.
Not one clean tackle with one player holding them up and another cleaning it up where are those at in collage also your right to that doesn’t happen this one on one are not realistic
I agree! Specially on that bubble screen to Zay flowers and the DB completely whiff the tackle

@@djbingham5451 yea but nobody is disrespecting the name of the game, theyre critiquing and shitting on the actual game. The madden name doesnt have anything to do with the gameplay. Hasnt been for years now. He just put his name in front of it. Just think.of him as an executive producer of the game.
@SupaNatural28 I'm talking about EA, bro. I been knowing. John signed his name "in perpetuity" so the family can't get out if they wanted to. But, EA has won the MOST worst gaming company awards in the last 10 years. Sucks for Coach Madden, but always read that contract.
5:08 Shocking, their focus on the hit stick updates for COMP and MUT is obvious. My god, we won’t see these during the play to play in the trenches or open field.
it seems like all these matchups are one-on-one and if it's a computer controlled person he's probably going to end up missing a tackle or getting juke or trucked over
they should show a running back running up the middle of the line and how the defense reacts tackling the guy
or when the guy comes across the middle there should be one or two guys actually trying to bring the guy down....
a cool animation would be like a bigger running back versus a smaller DB and he's actually slowing the running back down or whoever it is and then another linebacker comes and takes the guy out that would be a cool...

What they are offering is not enough. Receivers need more adaptive Al . What they give us always devolves to the same thing which is gameplay far below NFL standard. There is no way ultimate team players should play far below their capacity! The bad always outweighs the good in this game.

When it comes to blocking as a whole will the AI be able to adjust after the snap..That’s something that’s huge that madden hasn’t seem to nail when a 15+ year old game had already.
Sadly ncca 25 had blocking issue. It is god damn awful. Needed patch soon. Madden oline ai going to be a test after this video came out.
@@herotheancient1352 yeah the blocking in ncaa is horrendous. I have no reason to believe after 20 years there all the sudden going to nail what 2k did
@88walka yeah. I get it. It college. Anything can happen but there no way in you telling me my oline will collapse after less then 2 second after most play action plays over and over. I don't see that happen in college in every plays or possession. Ncca fb gameplay maybe the most fun gameplay I felt good but just have some minor issue. Defense also have issue too. Don't get me started?
@@herotheancient1352 But even with college especially the high ranking ones who recruit the best prospects that should not happen..It’s not high school..I’ll agree it’s the most fun it’s been but that’s not saying much..But I see little improvement going forward since they have the exclusive licensee to NCAA football.(Shocker)..Things like this was the point of the sherman antitrust act..Using loopholes to make a legal monopoly shouldn’t exist and is asinine.

How often do you see these “BoomTech tackles”, that they are featuring in this trailer, executed in REAL time football. I know that these tackles exist in football, but the majority of tackles made are wrap-up tackles. It’s almost making it to be too arcade(ish).

“HIT STICK” was introduced with RAY FUCKING LEWIS on the cover (2005)! Which back then was amazing!
Now we get it back, but it needs to be “TIGHT”….. DT, DE and LB’s should have more l weight to a “hit stick” and CB’s either shouldn’t have the ability or it’s toned down…. I dunno….. I don’t trust a fucking thing.
