I am a Retired Illustrator from the BOEING CO. in Seattle, and am getting back into art, and found one of these machines on Ebay for $19.00 delivered, so as to be able to make Bees wax crayons for my watercolor resist's, and along with my liquid frisket, will be able to keep whites white and wax being easier to apply, will add to my creativity! The white artist crayons cost $2.95 for just five, and I feel that this machine will accommodate my need for finer line crayons, and save me money as well! The large and chunky crayons I have made a couple months ago, are about 5/8 inch in diameter, and 3 1/2 inches long. But their size does not allow for fine line resist work, so....Instant small crayolas! Wish me luck!

I had this same maker as a kid, it ended up getting thrown away bc my parents caught me using it in my bedroom which wasn’t allowed 😂. Very nostalgic to see it in action

You can do this using all kinds of random molds in your oven. My cousin and I used mini muffin trays when I helped him make them for people. (He gave them out to our family as gifts. It was adorable.)

my friends at school did something similar. taped crayons to canvas then melted the crayons with a mini hairdryer.
