He's made paintbrushes (I still feel the pain the horse owner felt when Jazza cut a lock off that horse rather than trim the end of its mane), made his own paint, charcoal, now markers . . . Gotta make some pencils, erasers, paper, and canvases next. I can even imagine Jazza going so far as to 3D print some marker barrels and figure out how to make nibs.
Idk if u will see this jazza but there are refills kits so u don’t have to buy the whole set plus the refill kits just come with the tubes , plug , maker tips , and the caps
Abolutely YES! This should exist. I love markers and have made some of my own using empty copics pens and the refills. Spectrum Noir also has refill bottles. But I would love to have that marker maker with professional-level inks included!
I love the idea of the different artists on youtube all trying this. It reaches more of the art community! You guys should also check out Rae and NerdE trying this! Haha.
I do learned a lot of things when I started watching your videos. It motivates me to do more artworks and also explore new things, thank you, sir Jazza! :D
You can make your own alcohol ink with sharpies and 70 proof alcohol. I made some to create my own custom colored glitters. That might expand the options of colors you can use to create the markers.
I loved this and you should totally make a marker maker kit. I'm pretty sure the water brush pens could be filled with alcohol ink and then you'd have a brush nib but if you found a way to offer different kinds of nibs that'd be amazing
If you mean the felt tip ones, I agree. The "real brush" type, I suspect, would dry out too fast. Of course, brand would matter, because not all caps are created equally.
That was awesome Jazza! I love how you went from 0 to 60 with the quality of the markers. Do you think more average ink like India ink, or alcohol inks from other brands would work with these? Also please make the pro-version!
I definitely don't recommend India ink! It dries so badly it ruins fountain pens and it resists water and moisture, meaning it probably won't mix well with anything.
Oooh, I could see this as a subscription box of some sort. Monthly alcohol marker mixing, learning how to work with each color category- reds, blues, yellows, ect to get a certain batch each month. As you collect your markers you make, included in the box could be a project of some sort that implements each month being one using what you just made and another using the prior made markers eventually gaining an nice extensive collection at the end to be able to do a full blown illustration of your own after all the training in coloring and learning. Much like a interactive skill share box 🤔🤔🤔
Lol this reminds me of when I used to have those blendy markers that you would smash together or the crayola crayon maker lol Such a fun video and so creative!
Yeah you should totally produce an artist-level version of this in alcohol inks because there isn't anything out there and I have legit thought about doing exactly what you did here haha because the Crayola kit is the only one I have ever found. Great vid, Jazza.

It's amazing to explore art mediums for the first time as an adult, with a mind for cost. I was lucky enough to first get into watercolor. when i discovered the advantages of artist quality paints, my collection exploded and I felt like I was spending so much on paints. Then once I had some sense for transparent mediums I tried Copic markers and realized what a gift watercolor is, that it lasts so long and goes so far when compared to alcohol ink. Now my Copic collection is relegated to their fantastic refillable fineliners, which compliments my Daniel Smith collection nicely for pen and wash. In the end, building a palette out of Copic markers seemed like too much of an undertaking.
If I had to guess .. the real reason Jazza got previously kicked out of K-Mart wasn't because they were filming, it was because everytime he enters a department store, there are products dropping, and flying around him in orbit! That would be REALLY cool seeing this on a more professional level!! That's exciting!
For a possible professional version of this, search for "Montana empty marker". Intended for ink or acrylic. I discovered this shortly before watching your video when I was looking for empty markers to put fountain pen inks in. I haven't tried them yet.
As always, super fun to watch you get creative and hey, we get plenty of laughs along the way! Oh, and take a look at NerdECrafter's channel! She actually did a review and experiment with the same exact toy!
There is a professional marker mixing set. Copic makes empty sketch markers. Combined with the copic ink things, you can create custom Copic markers! Copic has a tutorial on their website. It might not be as satisfying as Crayola, but I’ve never tried it. Well hope you see this’
I would LOVE a professional level version of this. My bank account would probably hate it though. It hasn’t really been onboard with me getting a decent Copic set yet. 😢
Technically speaking all the parts from this set are available separately, so you could recreate this fairly easily. Even if you just bought this set you could do what Jazza did and buy a set of decent quality alcohol inks. The most challenging aspects of doing everything from scratch is getting a good seal between the any parts that weren't originally part of the kit.
I love the idea of a professional marker mixer! I love mixing my own colours when it comes to paints, but I hate how I can't save the colours to use another time when I'm most likely going to forget the ratios for next time I wanna use that colour. Buuut, if we had a marker mixer set akin to the Crayola one in this video - just in better quality, then I could write the measurements down for the colours I like!
As soon as you suggested a version of this for professionals, I was like "He's gonna make this, isn't he?" Then you legit asked. Yes. Yes we would love to see you make a professional grade marker mixer.

it can always need a new product.
I love how you shade and use the colors like you do.
I had this as a child and I'd forgotten about it until Jazza uploaded this. I then went and found some of the leftover markers. It was over a decade ago and they still work really well
i saw jazza and i immediately clicked. best choice i’ve made.
Also lol
12 months from now, Jazza is going to release an adult's version of the maker marker (but alcohol ink) with spectrum noir 👀
Edit: just got to the part where he said he would make his own 😂 called it!
I used that as a kid! I loved that toy so much, that was such a cool experience to play with. Yet again you’re tugging my nostalgia across, good video Jazza!
I used to own one of these as a kid and I will say I STILL would love this.. as he was saying it’s a great learning experience and fun to experiment and make new colors.
I do nail art professionally. I love to mix my own colored acrylic powders and paint colors as well. I can get super customized for every client, and they love the amount of options available to them. Love your channel Jazza!
Jazza: "It didn't come with black, which meant I couldn't darken or desaturate my mixes."
Me: Um, ever heard of complimentary colors, Jazza? Didn't you just say this was a good introduction to Color Theory?
Jazza: proceeds to make muted colors, apparently by accident
I feel like black really simplifies and intensifies that process tho
@@ajmosutra7667 Simplifies yes but black pigment is boring and flat. It's so amazing to make your darks in a painting from the colors you used elsewhere. There's a color harmony and depth that can't be achieved with black. Plus knowing color theory helps you make better compositions too.
@@jennw6809 good to know. I get feustradćted sometimes making impressionistic landscape from life if i lack simplicity of technique, but i didnt know about this grander depth of color being a part of better and more impressive compositiom
@@ajmosutra7667 A great technique is to make paintings with just 2 colors and their mixes. For instance, Raw Sienna and Ultramarine are lovely compliments and you can paint landscapes with those two colors alone!
@@jennw6809 I wouldn’t allow my students to use black in multiple applications when I was teaching middle school art just so they would use the complimentaries instead. Made for much better art pieces.
Jazza is like the Bear Grills of the art world. He's gonna go full blown 'from scratch' - making art supplies in the wild.
Oh snap! Crayola kit! Always a good day when Jazz channels a little Nerdy Crafter! ;) Thank you for the fun video!
This man has been my childhood and it's amazing to see how far he's grown and changed, much love jazza❤️❤️❤️
Was really fun to watch😁! Would love to see him create a kit of "mixing colour making marker"!
He's so great at giving instructions😂 and all the sound effects perfect
yes. Please do. That would be sooo awesome. (to create own markers/colors would be soooooo neat)
HUGE YES to Jazza's professional marker maker, I'd buy multiple kits 🔥🔥🔥
I love the idea of the different artists on youtube all trying this. It reaches more of the art community!
You guys should also check out Rae and NerdE trying this! Haha.
And doodle date. They get extra points for the colour names they came up with.
why does this look actually so fun omg
I do learned a lot of things when I started watching your videos. It motivates me to do more artworks and also explore new things, thank you, sir Jazza! :D
You can make your own alcohol ink with sharpies and 70 proof alcohol. I made some to create my own custom colored glitters. That might expand the options of colors you can use to create the markers.
okay but, that first drawing looks like Jazza's a stand user posing with his stand xD
....I would LOVE to see you make a pro-level marker maker!
YES! We need a professional Marker Maker! That would be sweet
I want a professional marker mixer xD seems fun :)
I adore everything you do! I have no artistic ability but I love watching you do art lol thanks for quality content
Lol this reminds me of when I used to have those blendy markers that you would smash together or the crayola crayon maker lol
Such a fun video and so creative!
Yeah you should totally produce an artist-level version of this in alcohol inks because there isn't anything out there and I have legit thought about doing exactly what you did here haha because the Crayola kit is the only one I have ever found. Great vid, Jazza.
Jazza:making art with the set Crayola markers
Also Jazza in the same vid after making the markers:''art that will make beginners rethink their choices''
ALSO HIM:''calling it a bit toneless'' :')
This is the first time I’ve ever seen Jazza read directions 😂
He read the instructions?! Now THAT's character developpement!
If Jazza made a marker marker for professional quality markers, I would buy it.
Am I the only one who was actually surprised that he read the instructions?
yes
If I had to guess .. the real reason Jazza got previously kicked out of K-Mart wasn't because they were filming, it was because everytime he enters a department store, there are products dropping, and flying around him in orbit!
That would be REALLY cool seeing this on a more professional level!! That's exciting!
"Hey guys, today I'm making something out of things you aren't supposed to make things out of" - probably jazza
0:35 what? reading the instructions? what are you? an adult? XD
This brings back so much nostalgia. I loved this marker maker. Mine was the red version, but I always enjoyed making unique colors! 😊
For a possible professional version of this, search for "Montana empty marker". Intended for ink or acrylic. I discovered this shortly before watching your video when I was looking for empty markers to put fountain pen inks in. I haven't tried them yet.
I like these "make your medium" videos. They're really relaxed, fun and interesting. Definitely certified dope sick nasty.

Jazza: I feel a bit of a scientist
Me: You know, I’m something of a scientist myself
I would 1000% would buy a professional marker maker for making my own colors!
Why buy specially designed tool when all you need is syringes and stand?
@@vjaceslavsavsjaniks6431 And the inks, and the fiber, and the nibs, and the barrels with caps...
@@MissKilvasArtsStudios 12,99 on amazon delivery excluded for 6 empty markers + alcohol or acrylic ink
Honestly Jazza do it, because honestly this looked like a lot of fun, but to then have proper quality markers is even better!
I live the fact that you can create your own colors, I want one so baddd
jazza is so gangster for filming in kmart against the rules omg
yes I would would absolutley love to try your version of making markers, do it Jazza , go man go. I'll be cheering all the way :) \0/ \0/
As always, super fun to watch you get creative and hey, we get plenty of laughs along the way!
Well hope you see this’
Yes Jazza you should make this. Terrific idea.
Now you gotta learn how to make recycled paper and go all the way on making your own materials!
"Marker Maker" sounds so weird now, haha.
I love the idea of a professional marker mixer!
I love mixing my own colours when it comes to paints, but I hate how I can't save the colours to use another time when I'm most likely going to forget the ratios for next time I wanna use that colour. Buuut, if we had a marker mixer set akin to the Crayola one in this video - just in better quality, then I could write the measurements down for the colours I like!
that was mad keep up for good work and custom two🤙
