Thank you! Wonderful lesson! I have learned this Mateus Asato arrangement in the past, picking up by ear. In your lesson, everything is much more accurate. Especially the b-section of the intro I did not work well, but now it turns out! Thanks! I can’t wait for the next lesson with the ending of this beautiful song.
That is great to hear that this helped ironing out the few mistakes. There's a lot going on in this cover and some of those refined things are easily overlooked
Thank you Graham! I have a fairly good memory but I think it is because of my approach to learning songs. I don't play more than I can remember (which means I don't need sheet music) and I have the melody in my ears before I start learning.
In this Fingerstyle Guitar Lesson you learn how to play Mateus Asato's amazing version of Don't Dream It's Over. I transcribed it yesterday so it is all still a bit fresh. Hi, would it be possible for you to do a full lesson on layla by derek and the dominos, especially including the great outro? Because theres just no guitar lesson on that one.
If you haven't yet, check out my tutorial for his version of How Deep Is Your Love. This upcoming Wednesday at 900am pacific time I'm doing a live stream on the second half of that tune.
I'm thinking on decking the bridge. Do you think I'll still get near of the vibrato of Mateus in this song? Or do you recommend keeping the bridge floating? Thanks
@@dannygillmusic The note that you slide into from the previous note is one that you hear the pitch of. The note from which the slide starts remains intentionally un-pitched as the slide is very quick. Hence the term grace note. The term helps to verbally categorise different slides. With a normal slide motion, you'd hear the starting note pitch more distinctly as the player give more time to that note.
If you check out tommy emmaneul's latest video, you'll be out of this world. That beautiful peace called Fuel definitely needs a tutorial. Go for it Andrè....
Thank you for taking the time to do this ❤
Thank you! I've learned a lot from you. And I will definitely learn more for sure!!
Thanks! Next week part 2 for this tutorial. There are some really cool things in that last section of this cover

@@Yourguitarworkshop Thank you. That is good insight into understanding your method. Makes sense.

What the heck is a grace note? I’ve never heard that term in my entire guitar playing life
you haven't lived long enough...:D
Sorry never heard of a “grace note slide”. I’ve of course heard slide, but what is this grace note business.
