      I’m from Central America, Honduras and I don’t think that I can take the CBT here, I missed my chance to take it in the UK 😢 did you know where can I find information about where can I take the CBT outside the Uk? Thank you in advance

      Go to person vue website, they have a list that you can download and see all the test centres in the world. You can choose the one nearest to Honduras.

      @Lisa as long as you have fulfilled the requirements for registration as a nurse in the UK, and have been registered with a nursing regulator in your country within the last 3 years, they will take you.

      Experience is not a must, but it's important. They don't worry about experience as long as you have the required certificates

    I can see that you sat your IELTS in October 2021 and relocated in July 2022. Other than the 2 months waiting after VISA was out, what other factors made you take so long?

      @James there was a project I was doing at my workplace in Kenya. So I had to take it slow.
      Also, my employer was recruiting in cohorts. I got my offer letter and COS on 5th April 2022. And my Visa around 24th April. Instead of coming in May I had to come in July because of the reasons above.

      @gracenjuguna you can apply for their visa as well and ensure you have enough money for a suitable accommodation.
      However, I always encourage someone to go alone until you pass the OSCE and get full registration before bringing family….things happen.

      The amount of money that one is able to save depends on individual circumstances.
      Other people have managed to save Ksh. 1M, others Ksh. 500k, others Ksh. 2M and others even nothing at all.
      It depends on where you work, whether you have family or not, where you live, whether you work Locums or not, sending money home or not, you’re a disciplined saver or not, number of hours worked among other factors

      @Ezekiel it’s not a must to have a year after NCK licensure before you relocate. As soon as you get NCK licence, you are good to go.

      @Fredrick they have no problem as long as hii declare your issue. They don’t take it lightly if they examine you and find out for themselves. I’ve seen someone being sent back to Africa.
      They say you make it known so that they know how to support you and also placing you at work.

      @Ruth if you come to Uk after completing renal nursing, you’ll be placed in a renal ward. But your starting grade will just be lower band 5 just like everybody else

      @Klein you might have to wait.
      I know that KMTC certificates are given after graduation. And you need that, together with your NCK certificate to apply for NMC-UK registration.

      @Klein what you can do now is your IELTS exam, then continue to gather information about nursing in the UK, and even start studying for NMC CBT as you wait for your graduation to get the KMTC certificate.

      You can start registering yourself as a nurse in the UK immediately straight out of college as soon as you get your nursing council and college/university certificate and practicing license.

      I have a bad handwriting, but I have a good typing speed.
      Then I realised if I make a mistake I may have to start all over again if I do on paper, that’s why I chose to do in computer😊

    Kindly, Is a KMTC(diploma) certificate enough to ensure one becomes an RN in UK or One will need a degree to quicken the RN process. Like if you had a diploma and another has a degree...is the process the same to becoming an RN in UK?

      You just need a diploma in Nursing and be registered in your country of origin.
      Degree is not a must.

      In some trusts the employer will pay for the visa. In some, the don't pay. In my trust you pay your own visa😊
