I love that you had a nice conversation with people and they were cool with you recording it! BTW, I've never heard of an Icelandic hotdog with beans on it lol. The best place to get one is the most famous hotdog stand in Reykjavík, Bæjarins Bestu. They do it little differently and it's a big thing to order “Ein með öllu” or “One With Everything”. It includes all of the interesting condiments, but also includes fresh and fried crispy onions, so that may be a no-go for you.
