We did this and loved it! I thought I would be afraid, but it was amazing.

My family did this in June and highly recommended! It was rough the day we went a few people got sick. We used the same tour company, our Capt and Kate were great too 🤟

How long did the boat ride take ? Are there toilets on the boat ?

Takes approximately 30 mins to get to the site off shore. And yes there are bathrooms on board.

I've not done this yet..maybe someday. I really felt sorry for you..nothing is worse than being seasick! 27yrs in the CG has taught me this!

Aww thanks! I had to include that part in the video for authenticity. Not all activities are picture-perfect...sometimes you genuinely get motion sickness. Hope this helps someone booking the tours so they also know to prep for motion sickness if they are prone to it!

Would you recommend this activity early Feb? Is there a difference in water conditions during winter months (Early Feb)?

It's a possibility! I'd opt for the earliest tour times (typically the ocean conditions are calmest in the early morning). If you book this, book it for the earliest day in your stay so if it does cancel due to weather then at least you have the flexibility of a few days to reschedule it. If you leave it for the last day of your stay and it cancels because of weather, you'd get refunded but wouldn't have any options to reschedule.

I did this…worth every penny!! Also take motion sickness pills before getting on the boat.

The shark cage was definitely as cool as I thought it'd be. Though I definitely got a little seasick.

Do you go barefoot into the water

Yep! You wont use any flippers. The only gear you have is just the snorkel mask 🤿
