But actually in this map you can continue taking right on every single turn and it will eventually lead you to all the point you need to do in the tomb before leading you back to the entrance. After that you can go straight from the entrance and you will meet the Brothers for the GF.

FF8 team is the same ones working on the 7 Remakes, so likely after that trilogy is done they will move on to remaking 8
Just shown in my recommended, I miss this game so much. If they recreated this just like 7 in the technology we have in this day and age, it would be a sight to behold. They could make places like this look and feel so eerie, imagine the Lunar Base with ultima... damn maybe some day.

it would be a good strategy from video game companies to remake all the classics. all of us who grew up with those games are mostly in well established careers by now and will have the money to get the games. also you're almost forced to play a remake of a game you like if you have any sense of allegiance to the original game

I mainly used a 3D software called Autodesk Maya. You can create 3D models and do animations in that program, it is pretty cool! 🙂

My most favorite area and also the soundtrack in FF8! Tomb of Unknown King - Find Your Way.
I still can clearly remember the time when my cousin visited my house to play the game with my brother while I quietly sitting at the back watching them, they were stuck in this area from the evening until the dawn of the next day !!! 3 of us didn't get any sleep, haha ( we are quite young at that time, I'm like 7..., and English is not our mother tongue- it's quite hard to catch up with all the dialogue and info ). Oh my sweet memory, sadly we are all apart few years later, My brother went to Australia, finally got married and settled down, my cousin went to the US with his family, and I'm staying here in Viet Nam. I missed them a lot ... This game giving me the clearest and vivid memories of them, reminding me of our bond.

Also I had something similar with the language, English is not my first language either, so I could barely read, I had my friend (which know some English) or my parents read stuff for me. But sometimes I just had to do things on just trial and error, and that could take a LONG time, haha

Same. Not knowing the language gave the game some kind of unique mystery and depth. I played it in my 7th grade. Final Fantasy, Harvest Moon... man those endless hours of pure fun.

Patiently waiting for a FF8 remake, I don't understand the hype of FF7 and after trying multiple playthroughs it just never hits me the same as FF8; which was my first Final Fantasy.
I really hope one day FF8 remake will come! I would be soooo happy if it did!!

Yeah sometimes finding stuff can be really hard, especially if you cannot read so well. I had my friend or my parents read the English text for me, because I didn't know so much English back then. I had to do a lot of trial and error. 😆
oh and ye that White SeeD Ship, damn, took me ages to find x)
It took me YEARS to find it. No help. Just straight up frustration and stubbornness. Literal years. I'd get up on random days and decide... "Lets load up ff8 and look for that ship today." I began ff8 in 6th grade. I finished it in 10th. Disc 3 had me stuck for years. After that... I beat the game maybe 7 or 8 hours afterward. And 7 or 8 times I replayed it. Might replay it again soon.

hehe but I can relate. I to had to look for stuff for many hours, because as a kid I could not read English so well. So I missed lots of times where I should be going, I had to do trial and error, and that could take maaaany hours hehe 😆

FF8 "needed" a remake more than FF7. FF7 was already fine as it was. It's game was succesful, movie was succesful, and the spin offs all decent.
FF8 in retrospect was considered the odd game in the franchise and requires a remake and a fixed story.

I wish for remake. FF VIII has one of the best world and story in its time. And most complicated stats\status system. And don't forget to take exams to improve your salary. I had no internet in my childhood, so I had to read and memorise all articles to take all exams perfectly. So actually this game help me to improve my memorizing skills)))))))

remake would be bad, they'll just make it like 7. maybe just make a "resurrected" version like what was done to diablo 2. everything stays the same except the graphics quality, cgi models, animation, etc.

Me first playthrough cause I didn't bought the stupid map. But I drafted one instead with my big brother.
hehe nice. That is what you had to do back in the days, draw your own maps for the dungeons. I remember when I draw my own maps for Phantasy Star.
The 3d modeling is realy great, but the animation is missing something, the movements are too... How to descibe this.. robot like. It looks all over good.

FF8 really needs a remake, I want it badly.. but the idea of a remake for it right now is in the dark :( it's even rumored they're gonna just skip to remaking FF9.... I think more people liked FF9 but I wasn't that into it, FF7 and FF8 are my all time favorite final fantasies, and I need this lol.
This must be how a remake would look like when squall explores that cave lol along with two others following behind. the maze and objective there was kinda confusing with a map that had no location where you were at, but yeah.. I hope to see this game remade at its entirety in our lifetimes.
