They get so many opportunities to kill him. He isn't even that physically imposing, a few people teaming up could hold him down while the other stabs him. At one point the dog bites his fingers after Kate pushes him and instead of doing the obvious thing and jabbing a broken bottle in his neck while he's distracted, Jamie just runs for it. But she'll take the opportunity to stab the DOG in the neck to keep it quiet. It's hard to take this game seriously when its villain is just some dude. The pace of the whole game is way too slow. Serial killers aren't really that imposing compared to literal wendigos. Theory: I think Du’met is more than 1 person. At 4:17:38 “one” of them is trapped In between two walls then most likely that was a another person that came behind Jamie and then when he got to control panel he released the other one. Also near the end the girls were being chased by one wielding an axe but Mark and Charlie saw one wielding a knife despite the other one losing his knife. So at the end one died but the other is alive and collected the other one’s mask at the end and opened another resort.
Well that bald guy at the limo who says he's Du' met isn't actually Du'met he was Joseph Morello and that one boat scene that they were in a hurry is him and his daughter
So I'm 2hrs 11 minutes in, but I'm really confused why Erin doesn't tell them she KNOWS someone was in there with her because THEY HANDED HER HER INHALER. Like physically, in which she was grabbed whilst standing up (unless her team think she hallucinated that TOO)
4:25:30, this scene with Kate hiding in the locker... This might not be the best horror game made by Supermassive Games (although I think it's arguably top 2), but this has got to be one of the most iconic scenes I've ever seen in horror game history, and I've played many horror games including Silent Hill/The Evil Within/etc. The fact that this could happen to anyone, the tension of not knowing whether to stay on the locker or run, trying to maintain Kate alive (specially if no one has died yet), actually got me on the edge of my sit.
There was no reason for her to hide in a locker when the killer knows the property inside out* He immediately destroys every locker and pulls her out anyway, nonsense
you're telling me all five of them were together verus the dude and they didnt just start beating him? why not fight him... they have the advantage instead of running
Honestly in their situation I’d still run. I ain’t risking my life to fight someone who could possible be pretending to act slow only for them to drop the act and start fighting for real
People can be strong as fuck and can easily overpower 3 teens, a teen with asthma, and a smoker After seeing all the shit he's done, you really gonna take that risk?
Would've thought that too, but there is a strong chance Du'Met isnt one person. Even by off chance they do overpower that one Du'Met, another one will end up surprise attacking the group
@ZonalJump97 charlie and the "teens" pushed dumet over a few times in the story. Also they're not teens. Mark went to UCLA (college) and Kate was in college as well before working for Charley. The cast is all in there 20s except Charlie.
Seems kinda obvious there’s at least 2 killers, one must be agent Munday because of the evidence that He used real teeth for his human mannequins so he probably went crazy as the shoeshine killer and used his own teeth to graft into his victim at the warehouse to make the world think Munday was gone when in reality he escaped with his prisoner that gave him inspiration. This is why they talked about him not talking because of another identity, they didn’t want anyone knowing the one was Munday and the other Munday’s criminal case study. There really were 2 identities.
I mean that's pretty much golden pictures in the dark pictures is that a foreshadow of the future games Also the curator does give a little hint on where on where the next game is going to take place or something like that (in here he says in the future referring to the next game setting places in the future most specifically 2080(
I don't know if it's just me but this game in particular, their eyes just don't focus right to me. Like they look like mid 2000s games where the eyes don't stay locked on a person or object so much as they stay locked to the head movement. It bothered me alot in this story, where there are 2 "couples" (by the end) and their interpersonal relationships and choices make a big difference in their fates. Idk... It's mo-capped so they have the footage to go on and I get that intricate eye movements are alot to animate, but even if their eyes were slightly crossed like Muppet eyes, it would look like they were focused more on a target and not on the middle distance. Also there were a number of "American" characters that were definitely actors hiding their accents.
I'm sorry, am I the only person that's gonna mention how there was an attack on the curator's office in the end? That and that the curator keeps and wears the same kind of bowler hat we see the killer wear, even in the parts where the curator is hanging out in the background? A lot of people keep saying that there are multiple killers, maybe reality is that the story was always only ever meant to be the one killer who could easily be foiled, but a chronicler, one who openly mentions how infuriating it is to have to simply watch and that his interference would be breaking the rules is going ahead and breaking the rules the keep the story going and interesting? Maybe that's why he tore out the page instead of crossing out Du'Met's name, maybe he was the one picking up the mask at the end.
For me it is quite possible that Detective Hector Munday has utilize his ability to the maximum. But it still doesn't explain how this guy a force of nature surviving that rooftop scene, suddenly appearing when they think "he was trapped" unless he has a another escape route. (He planned it all so probably he had extra thoughts) To make it more weird. The ending news reporter didn't mention Du'met name, suddenly you see new victims showing a mansion then blurting out Du'met fake promises which not even months or days after his "death". Like who is in charge of this whole death game operation? Is Du'met actually being helped with another group, or Du'met is a name commonly used for a huge death game makers full of serial killers? There's hella tons of stuff to think
If you have played or watced all the games in this season there were a lot of subtle hints abou the curator being a "supernatural entity"... my bet is on "the death" or a "fallen angel" (seeing the feather in this chapter).
So what he said about seeing you again in the future, that must mean next game could be alien on a space ship stealing bodies. That's among us right there
@@DecitsuI swear it is. I’m the kind of person that finds hidden things in games. And at least like 7 times, the curator is hiding behind something in plain sight but people don’t notice him. I think it’s so cool
I have a theory that the narrator guy/guy that gives hints is Du Met. Here’s why… -At @5:42:50 he says “hats off to you they all survived. That’s good-for you.” He hesitates between that’s good and for you. -@5:41:40 He has a list of names and crossed off Munday and then crumbled up the paper frustratedly -he’s in a fancy building and looks rich -he’s creepy -he wears a similar outfit -he knows everything and says he’ll be watching @21:00

If I recall, they actually were two of the real life murder victims of H. H. Holmes. I read a book called The Devil in the White City, which was actually an awesome book, and though it's been a while, I thought Holmes even used the Whitman surname as an alias at one point. Unless I'm getting that mixed up with Walt Whitman from Breaking Bad haha. Anyway, it would be nice if we could, although if they really were killed by him in real life, it'd obviously be inaccurate.

Why do i feel like we are going to get a game with the curator and his library and play as the people he is always talking to what tried to break down his doors what if we have to face all the monsters from past games.
What it's seemed like so far with each game is that he has been tasked with reviewing these tragic stories and we, as the player, are granted the opportunity to watch the stories play out and try to help/hurt the characters through our decisions in critical moments or turn them against each other so they're less likely to survive. It all seems to be under Death as an entity the Curator is wary of. Death is lurking around the corner for every single character and the Curator's job includes essentially logging the kill count. Death has made stricter rules and put pressure on the Curator with each game, hence why he expresses some fear and keeps saying he can't help us, even though he still tries to give us hints. Death wants the kills, and with each person the Curator helps us save, he's putting his neck on the line. I think eventually we'll either get a game where we can try to help save the Curator, but we still won't be able to kill Death, or we'll get a new Curator and see how this one's decision to aid us resulted in his demise. If it's the latter, a new Curator would probably be more cold-hearted and try to trick us into decisions that'll lead to character deaths, all while holding it over our heads worse.
So I'm definitely grateful for you doing this walkthrough, but you missed getting the book down at 1:33:00 and there was a coin on the first floor in the corner in front of you at 1:38:02 you missed. That's all I've seen up to that point. Edit: Another coin missed at 2:54:10 by not using your business card to open the desk drawer. Edit: Another missed coin at 3:17:10 on the floor. Edit: At 3:55:18 the FBI badge was on the floor under the jacket to the left. Edit: At 4:16:06 you could have went right to find a premonition picture. Edit: At 4:46:48 there was a wedding ring on the floor. Edit: At 4:47:22 there was a premonition picture on the wall. Edit: At 5:10:25 you missed a coin by not going to the right. Edit: At 5:14:19 there was a coin to the right. Edit: At 5:21:05 there is a document in a box to the right that was needed.
So... I have two ideas with this game in the series 1: The killer is an animatronic, like many other of his mannequins except he controls this one fully. That's why we see all the parts and what not and ESPECIALLY which tendons move which fingers. That's why he moves so stiffly 2: Devil in me. Literally a devil goes from person to person possessing them
@rainond.cooper2971 They weren't demons though, they were an alien civilization that brought a parasite from their home planet that turned them in vampiric versions of themselves. Hence why when humans get the parasites, they look really different compared to the creatures.
Another new chapter, one thing I’ll always enjoy (despite me not being a real gamer for horror titles like this) is how unique each style of game plays, as a sorta novel you can help write along the way, the survivors, the deaths, the fails, the success, all in many ways of a truly scary view, let’s see, if I recall there was the cannabal monsters, time travel witches, vampires, werewolf’s, illusion drug mist from a corps, a shooter roller coaster, and now a killer team manner, no limits of use I’m sorry and horror, especially how they put together so many different teams together in different forms to combat or go though such terrors, if it where me in any of these situations, I be the first dead no question. Good gameplay and good work on helping everyone survive, now subscribe to your channel thanks to finding this video, continue the impressive work and have fun with the gameplay.
I'm shocked how most of the characters in the medical records are 5"4'. most of them are around 120lbs as well. Mark looks like he has some muscle mass to him, so I thought he was at least 150lbs.
I really like the prologue of this game. It makes the character likeable which is sad since in almost every supermassive game the people you play as in the prologue die
Fr they could have killed him like 12 times, for example when they was hiding with the dog, Kate litterally got behind him, discombobulated him, and the dog bit him and instead of killing the guy with screw driver in the neck while he's stunned, they all run away 🤣
Well as a nursing student it has to due to the fight or flight response when faced with danger even in groups you normally responds the most natural way possible which is running away from that danger not fighting it its a natural body reaction to escape not to kill
So...true identity of Du'met guy wasn't revealed after all. Seems like our Curator was very unsatisfied about it though. Who was that guy, anyway? FBI agent Hector Monday who affected by former copycat & gone AWOL? Or just another anonymous copycat who "obsessed" with Agent Monday?
Yeah, pretty sure it's Munday, too many hints point at him, only question is if it's just him, or if there is really at least a second killer. Even the victims he picks point at Munday, he targets people that profit from serial killers and make them famous. A true crime writer, a true-crime documentary crew and a horror fiction writer, who possible takes real cases as inspiration, but at least profits from the public fascination with slashers.
man charlie grew on me so much, yeah hes a jackass but man at least in this playthrough he genuinely cares about his crew so much, and his badass survival skills and ingenuity are unmatch by the rest of the crew sure, its his fault they are in this whole mess, but his motivates were clearly good (if a bit self centered at times) his concern when he asks mark if the others are okay is a great moment of character from the actor too also thank you for posting this! the playthrough i was watching killed jamie so im really glad i found this playthrough also i like how you had erin miss the fake recording of charlie talking to dumet, so that shes never suspicious of him and realizes its edited right away when they find it together. idk if that was intentional but i prefer it that way personally
His survival skills led him to disregard Erin’s story about someone literally being in a dark room with her. Then, those same skills were the exact ones that made him see blood on the floor and wipe it away in his mind as just being animal blood? Even after what Erin had said? Also this guy is more than self centered and his intentions are absolutely always selfish, never good. The whole reason they came here on a whim was so he could try to save his career before it crashed and burned, even though his only information about this was that some random dude had information for him, they took their phones, and brought them to the secluded island with a shutdown hotel and replicas of murder items. Charlie is the worst
@@jonathancolon3329 that wasnt survival skills, that was "dont jump to conclusions based on limited evidence" yeah erin said she saw someone, but she was also in a dark room with a mannequin having an asthma attack. thinking its more likely that she imagined someone in her panic is a very reasonable thought process. same deal with the blood trail, he had absolutely no reason to assume the worst, so he decided to check it out *before* making any assumptions, leaving him open to various possibilities. murderer on the lose isnt exactly the first logical explanation, it wasnt until he saw actual proof of threat that he took things as dangerous, and when he did he *immediately* took action to make sure he and his team were safe. also, you clearly have no idea how showbuisness works. its not exactly uncommon for people to get calls from directors saying "we will pick you up here and bring you to the studio, and we will give you the script upon arrival. to prevent leaks, please leave your phone in the car" like thats super common not to mention, he took the job so the *company* wouldnt go under. for himself, yes obviously, but also for his crew, they dont get paid if he cant keep things working. he knew the situation was sketch but he was desperate and optimistic, that dosent mean hes the worst it just means he made a bad call that turned into the literal worst case scenario you wouldnt blame someone for taking their friends on a trip where the plane crashed would you? even if the tickets were cheap and last minute, it still wouldnt be their fault charlie isnt great at the start. hes a shitty leader and very self centered. but that dosent mean he is absolutely the worst, and he goes through an entire damn character arc throughout the game and comes out a much better leader and a much better person frankly, id say someone who started bad and grew to be good is better than someone who was good from the start with absolutely no progress or growth
@@notroxa 100% agreed. At first I didn't like Charlie at all. He seemed so self centered but at the end he became a better person like the Curator said he understood leading is not about ordering people around.

Are the audio log scenes apart of the game or did you edit them in? Or is it an update in the game? I was watching another play through (cartoons) and it didn't have it It was a nice touch 👍🏼
Thank you, was looking for this, the one I watched was almost perfect but they lost Jamie bc even though they chose defiant, like I feel fits her character better, she didn't have the damn screwdriver, which I really think they should've given her since she was going to face the guy herself. As a writing annoyance more than a choice annoyance, there were chairs in the control room, other objects- Kate and Erin could've picked up a chair and just frickin' clocked the guy if he came in. It irritates me in the parts where it's 3 of them vs one guy with a knife, that they couldn't just pick up something and beat the shit out of him- they're fit enough women to climb and run around this place. There are table lamps, shards of glass, big vases in the maze part, etc, I feel like they should've been more resourceful early on, instead of Kate occasionally thinking to pick up some helpful objects to fight back with late in game. Also, also, why the F didn't they make sure he was dead after he fell off the roof. Ultimate facepalm and bad writing. If they wanted him to survive that scene, they should've had him fall into some weird tunnel/passage or something where they just couldn't get to him and check. It was a little disappointing also that with all the note clues, we didn't actually get to hear any of the PCs actually tell the authorities, "Hey, the guy didn't really die in the fire, he's still alive and killing people in this fake Holmes mansion, somebody go and get him." He faked his death once, and they had no body after the boat explosion, so of course he got away. All in all they did make more likeable characters overall than in the previous games (this is the first one where I wanted everybody to make it, not just certain people), but it wasn't quite what I was expecting; I think I'd been hoping for a bit more of a supernatural angle after seeing the trailer where the corpse guy was smoking a cigarette and we didn't know he was an animatronic- I'd been thinking maybe Holmes possessed some people or got reincarnated or something, maybe he possessed Munday's body and made him do these things, but they didn't go with that angle. House of Ashes still my favorite, and looking forward to the space one.
completely agree with 99% of this. the only thing im iffy on is the roof thing. Tbh when the killer fell off the roof the man looked crippled like a cartoon character 😂😂. I still think you double tap regardless, but i completely understand why they didnt
i agree except them being likeable... Jamie's attitude is annoying bc she doesn't use it to be smart, she brushes off "Du'Met" running away & follows a random trail of blood w/ Charlie
The second that first wall moved I'd have been breaking furniture for weapons and started tearing the whole house down screw those mind games I'm making my own doors right through the walls if I have to
You can’t just name the two weakest games by Supermassive and say “yeah this game is not perfect but it’s better than most of the others, such as the two worst in the series” Like this game is not terrible, but it’s pretty disappointing tbh
Knowing how this ends for certain characters- the change from 178 to 180 makes sense now and is so sad. Having watched this game played before- a lot of things are snapping together...
What gets me about this is that not a single one of them thought of, y'know, propping doors and walls open with the readily-available furniture and boards.
The part where Kate is hiding in the locker is so real. I’d be so fucking scared in this situation so the breathing mechanic happening 5 times is so reallll! Also, I think this game gets too much hate. I’m so interested in the murder hotel and all of the traps. Yes, they could’ve killed the killer many different times, but I would be too scared to touch ANYTHING in that hotel to try and use as a weapon. (The only time I’d attack him is when he fell off the roof.) The game is buggy, but I love how scary it feels to me. If it had less adventure mechanics like the planks, it would be a lot more fun. But I don’t care, I love this case and it intrigues me sooooo much! Also I’m jumping on the theory that there’s two killers because it just makes sense to me. Also can we just talk about how that little girl survived the murder hotel?? If I was her age doing this I would not survive if I had my parents or not. Sadly she was super close, but im still shocked that she got through all of these traps.
*SPOILER* At the end when the original guy who was supposedly Du'Met and his daughter were found dead broke my heart. Man, I went this entire playthrough thinking that at least those two made it. My fun little theory is that for the sin of killing an innocent child, he began losing as a fate of sorts.
Well, yeah. At least for me it leaves a feeling of deja-vu. For example, in the final battle, after Du'met fell from the boat, I was screming "MARK, KATE, JUMP!!!. YOU'RE NOT SAFE, YOU WILL DIE BY HITTING A ROCK!!!! QUICK!!!" I remembered the premonition "Explosion" that Charlie found at the beginning. Also, I remembered "Hotel" from House of ashes (the scene where a mannequi holding a lighter explodes in a furnace where Charlie is, burning him alive). Is really strange when you see the future in this pictures. Is like walking in the same place twice and saying "Huh, this looks familiar".

Makes sense
There. Was also a list of names so these guys are maybe just a bunch of killers who use different monicas but all follow homes Way of killing maybe

Broken pipes he fell on could of smashed his head in
He also appears unarmed and three on one is good odds. Kick 'em in the tender bits until he dies.

(He planned it all so probably he had extra thoughts)
To make it more weird.

Unless I'm getting that mixed up with Walt Whitman from Breaking Bad haha.
Anyway, it would be nice if we could, although if they really were killed by him in real life, it'd obviously be inaccurate.
True, it’s kind of sad seeing them die, especially if they both die 8n the same room together. But it’s meant to show that Holmes was a serial killer

The only thing I was worried about was if the dog would survive or not and that’s a fact a lot of people can agree on
Thats not a fact. And facts can't be agreed on..
I'm just saying at the 44 minute mark that is some scooby doo foreboding type shit. I LOVE IT

2: Devil in me. Literally a devil goes from person to person possessing them
2 is probably not true because dark pictures has shown that magic and supernatural things don't exist in their universe

his concern when he asks mark if the others are okay is a great moment of character from the actor too

also i like how you had erin miss the fake recording of charlie talking to dumet, so that shes never suspicious of him and realizes its edited right away when they find it together. idk if that was intentional but i prefer it that way personally
@@jonathancolon3329 that wasnt survival skills, that was "dont jump to conclusions based on limited evidence" yeah erin said she saw someone, but she was also in a dark room with a mannequin having an asthma attack. thinking its more likely that she imagined someone in her panic is a very reasonable thought process. same deal with the blood trail, he had absolutely no reason to assume the worst, so he decided to check it out *before* making any assumptions, leaving him open to various possibilities. murderer on the lose isnt exactly the first logical explanation, it wasnt until he saw actual proof of threat that he took things as dangerous, and when he did he *immediately* took action to make sure he and his team were safe.
also, you clearly have no idea how showbuisness works. its not exactly uncommon for people to get calls from directors saying "we will pick you up here and bring you to the studio, and we will give you the script upon arrival. to prevent leaks, please leave your phone in the car" like thats super common
not to mention, he took the job so the *company* wouldnt go under. for himself, yes obviously, but also for his crew, they dont get paid if he cant keep things working. he knew the situation was sketch but he was desperate and optimistic, that dosent mean hes the worst it just means he made a bad call that turned into the literal worst case scenario
you wouldnt blame someone for taking their friends on a trip where the plane crashed would you? even if the tickets were cheap and last minute, it still wouldnt be their fault
charlie isnt great at the start. hes a shitty leader and very self centered. but that dosent mean he is absolutely the worst, and he goes through an entire damn character arc throughout the game and comes out a much better leader and a much better person
frankly, id say someone who started bad and grew to be good is better than someone who was good from the start with absolutely no progress or growth

Anyone else notice at the bar is straight out of the shining the robot even has the same uniform
(The only time I’d attack him is when he fell off the roof.)
The game is buggy, but I love how scary it feels to me.
I fast forward just to see what the game is. Saw the part where the killer flicks a pitbull of his hand and I couldn't watch more...
“Give me a dog any day”
“…. yeah, just a stupid cat” 😭😭
14:14 what's holmes doing in the mirror
That’s the curator!
2:51 Holy crap that’s H.H. Holmes, the first serial killer in America no joke!!!!!!!!!!
Okg I just realized that the cop is played by Salem’s actor
should've let jamie keep the screwdriver for the glass wall scene so their relationship isnt ruined.
I think “ Devil in me “ is the least favorite for me😅
@@krittenk.4587 why?
The one thing about this game that irritated me was Charlie being so goddam annoying about his cigarettes. Give it a rest, bro.
*SPOILER*
At the end when the original guy who was supposedly Du'Met and his daughter were found dead broke my heart.
Man, I went this entire playthrough thinking that at least those two made it.
My fun little theory is that for the sin of killing an innocent child, he began losing as a fate of sorts.
HH Holmes. Now, there's a name that I never thought I would see in a game. I love it 😁
Is this 100% collectables as well?? Great job btw!
Anyone seeing premonition weird??? Its like in space... Is that mean this game will continue?
The next game is Directive 8020, which seems to be inspired by horror stories such as Alien, and Aliens. And Alien 3.
@@sophiemason8444 In all of these anthology games there is one premonition that shows the next game
Good news is, Marie kept her promise to Jeff. She loved him till her last day, as much as the day they were married.
thank u for the game is so cool
@1:15:09 Gorden Ramsey moment...
At least the authorities are on their side this time.
