Imagine a future preservation character that has an inbuilt taunt, and when an enemy attacks said character, the character has the ability to parry at a specific timing before the attack lands, reducing the incoming damage down to 30% of the original.
Tbh preservation already has more taunt value, so they already has a built in taunt lol. And it has to be more than that because trailblazer already reduces 50%.

Yeah that one shot Technique is super OP but I'm still more interested in Adventurine overall.. as someone who spends a lot of time in Sim Uni, the strong shielding looks really nice, I mean, I know Gepard exists, but I have a hard time keeping his shield up consistently in there (despite my Geppy having is sig LC, he never gets hit and I have to use him pretty skill heavy to keep his shield uptime), I hope Adventurine can kind of overcome that issue. My poor Fu Xuan still gets one shot on occasion with so much aoe damage from elites/bosses.
I'm in similar situation.Hoping for Fuxuan, unfortunately she's not getting rerun this patch. Might try getting Aventurine if he is on par with Fu or better.

Acheron tech may look pretty strong and flashy at first but for me it looks like it just saves you some screentime in and out of battle. Usually when you hit non-elite enemies with the weakness element they are gonna die easily anyways. So it is a nice tech to have kinda meh in my personal opinion.
when Acheron unsheath her sword abover her head, I think about Alpha Crimson weave from PGR imeditaly, and Alpha is also electric type, now I want Acheron even more

About 30 FREE pulls: they are not giving us usual odyssey event, so compared to normal patch the anniversary one has only 20 more pulls, so it's literally same amount we got for genshin anniversary. But looking how gullible and stupid people are, this amount is what we will get next anniversary too, since there is no outrage, or demands. I feel that HSR very fast will go in the same route as genshin.
I still feel like it is good enough, at least for this year, and anniversary isn't always about currency you know, we got the DEVs address actual concerns the players had, we got teasers of future content, we constantly get QoL changes, we are getting another 4 star selector, we are getting a free concert, a live Jazz show and a lot more events, and that's just for this next two months. For the first year this is banging already. Honestly, I don't the HSR Dev team will get as greedy as the Genshin one, but if they start drifting that way, be sure that nobody will make a blind eye

Most of Nihility LCs are useless on her. GNSW is her best 4*, but it's gacha, so no guarantee. An "f2p" option is Welt's light cone you can buy in the shop, but i heard GNSW at high superimposition outdamages it. We're getting like 30-40 free pulls for next patch so maybe you can try going for her LC or at least get GNSW copies since it's rate up
