    The fact that Dio was already 46 at the time still amuses me. I'd give my soul and all my family's to have just half of the power and control he had over his voice. The guy had the gift, seeing him sing so effortlessly for hours (like the '77 show in Munich with Rainbow)... Fuck, I miss this dude.

      @Metal Massacre \m/ Nice bro, thanks for sharing!!!!! This was my second, Sacred Heart was my first and then it just went on throughout the years up until Radio City Music Hall with H&H (Sabbath) 2007! Great to know you became a Drummer for a death metal band👍. Vinny is one of the Greats, Was wondering if Dave Lombardo of Slayer had an influence on you since he's such and inspirational Drummer in Speed Metal Music

    Saw this tour when they rolled through Detroit at Cobo Arena. Me and three other friends had Main floor tickets. Me and my buddy worked our way to the front of the stage. It was louder then God and it smelled like ass from everybody sweating and headbanging. Everybody was wearing leather jackets including us. It was incredible!! One of my friends actually caught one of Vinnie's sticks during the show when Vinnie through it out to the audience. Being a young 18 year old drummer I held that stick all the way home. Had to give the stick back to my friend though😔.

    • @Stefan-
      @Stefan- Год назад +2

      He really was still at his prime here at 46 years, as huge fan i think he was at his absolute peak in his 40´s, i saw the same concert in 1987 here in Stockholm Sweden ( and have seen him quite few times live) and even though this performance sounds awesome and it sounded equally awesome in Sweden it was pretty much just the way he did his thing, you can pick up any bootleg and it will sound this good, i have heard hundreds myself.

    This was after Ronnie has fired Vivian Campbell and brought Craig Goldie in on guitar. Viv was an exciting player but often played beyond his capabilities and sounded off time in spots. Craigs playing was much more controlled, disciplined and in time.

    • @shreddinjoe
      @shreddinjoe 3 года назад

      Its just my opinion...but Viv was a much more tasteful player indeed. Cant take away anything from Craig for sure, but Viv was an integral part of that band..i remember being very upset when Viv was let go. The band members were not getting paid as they were promised. Viv had the balls to speak up and was unceremoniously kicked to the curb..then again Viv got into a million dollar gig with Def Leppard. Though its still hard to see Viv taking a back seat to Phil.
