So lucky to live in a time of great artists like Robert Plant, and the rest of Led Zepplin. I can't understand people on the internet hating on Zeppelin, especially Jimmy, calling him names like, "Thief " etc. Same with Lars Ulrich, calling him a crap Drummer! They've traveled the world, playing in front of millions, sold millions of albums and, made millions doing what they love. Not many people can say the same.
Man alive, this is good stuff. This song is such a gem, and when I first started listening to this demo, I didn't think I'd care for it, but wow, won it won me over quick.
This version is a real banger. It'd be cool if Plant did a totally stripped down set of songs from his entire back catalogue. I'm of the opinion that Robert's voice sounds best without any effects, just simple amplification. Obviously there was unledded but those were just acoustic/orchestral renditions of Zep.
I'm still trying to figure out who Mark Zep is.. Got it narrowed down to a select few. I just happened to have known people who known people deep in the chain of command with Robert.. suspects, lol Possibly RP, Kyle Gustie at GMR Rex Smith, JP, Strickland. JP. If I were a betting man i'd say Rex or RP : )
@@ottodetroit He's got to be someone close to RP,JP. Gustie and Smith were tour managers. I actually got a phone call from Kyle Gustie who was also a tour manager for the who from and airplane. Yes, an airplane, in regards to a guitar I have signed by RP and Jimmy.. So because I knew those names it kind of helped me climb up the connection ladder.. Frank Melfi, Chris Blackwell ( drummer 1988 ),Doug Boyle, Charlie Jones bassist. several other are friends of mine on FB, lol Not bad for a guy that grew up in the projects, Met Plant and page in Boston in 95 I believe. If I had to bet, I'd say Frank Melfi the zep photographer is Mark Zep. Someone with great access.. stay safe,

wow, I think i like this better than the album version but they are both great
I like how it's more stripped down. The only change I'd make is take the reverb off Robert's voice. His natural voice doesn't need effects.
