Scott has been nominated for a Grammy this year for his single, Rose Without the Horns after edging out our PTX favorite from last year, the magnificent O Holy Night the ethereally beautiful Pure Imagination/Christmas Time is Here and their cover of Kiss From A Rose. Check them all out
My understanding is when they formed Pentatonix it was agreed that the individuals could go off and do their own thing But Pentatonix comes first! And of course they all have done individual work. They’re the best!!❤️
New subscriber. I can’t promise to watch for the Voice, but I am definitely here for all the PTX you want to do! I love it when a new ‘90s kid finds this medley, and you were among the best for enthusiasm. Love the chair boogie! If you haven’t seen them yet, I think you may enjoy their covers of Mad World and Come Along, or really, any other video that catches your eye. You just can’t pick wrong. Each member of Pentatonix has branched out into solo projects. Of note are Superfruit, a side project by Mitch and Scott that resulted in the Future Friends album (my faves are Guy.Exe, Imaginary Parties, Deny U and the title track - they all have videos) and Kevin’s cover of Down on his channel (Kevin Olusola.) Scott has the most recent solo releases, and Mitch has been releasing new music under the name Messer. Mitch also has a video performing a Billie Eilish song (the title of which escapes me just now) that is beautifully chilling. Sorry to be so wordy. I really enjoyed your reaction to the ‘90s Medley! Peace from Ohio …
Me, too! I watch both The Voice and American Idol, but I prefer the way that American Idol celebrates the talent, rather than making it a competition between coaches.
7:02 "Boom, Boom, Boom" was better known in Europe during that time. They became acquainted with it when they were on tour in Europe. This is one of my faves of theirs. I was so happy to see you were reacting to another PTX video, and I went right to your channel. more! more! more! Looking forward to it. Great chair dancing, too!
They did this live at The Hollywood Bowl in 2022(2023?). It really proves that they don't really cheat when they go pure acapella. Just reverb and balancing. They are really Phd level performers, especially in mash ups, and medleys. No one does transitions as well as they do. I think they are the best music arrangers for over 10 years now. Mitch is a counter tenor. Scott covers the bass line when Avi or Matt sing lead. They all have crazy wide ranges. There were no instruments harmed in the making of this music.
You asked for the song around timestamp 7:20. It's by the Venga Boys, called Boom Boom Boom. I was stationed in England in the late 90s and that song was all over the radio. Apparently it didn't make it over to this side of the pond. 🙂
FYI - Scott & Mitch performed as Superfruit for several years. They have a ton of RUclips videos and a CD called "Future Friends". All songs are originals. All songs have videos. Almost all songs are more dance -y vibes. I love "Vacation" and the monster (no pun intended) hit, "Guy.Exe" . I think you will love them.💚💚💚
This one is SO FUN live! Everyone dances. They absolutely give great solo side projects (and random outside collaborations)! And yes, you guessed correctly, most prolifically Scott - basically because he is an energizer bunny and is always everywhere doing everything, lol. His solo album "Parallel" is exceptional, and mostly a beautiful love letter to his husband, Mark. Kirstin has a great pop solo album called "Love" and was on Broadway in "Kinky Boots." Kevin has an EP called "Renegade" (check out his RUclips channel). Mitch's side project is under the name "Messer" and his vibe on his originals tends to be sort of techno/retro-eighties. He has an EP called "Roses" and several individual tracks under that name. Matt hasn't done his own full-on album yet, but there are some side projects available to hear. I'm sure more is coming. Scott and Mitch together did a project called "Superfruit" which started out as a vlog when they were roommates, including a lot of humor, parody, and some outstanding music, then culminated in their 2 part EP "Future Friends." They actually toured as Superfruit and made a full on video for every song, (every one is so good!). Their song "Guy.exe" just went gold a few months ago. PTX made a pact and support one another whole-heartedly on whatever they want to do on the side as long as Pentatonix is prioritized. Former member, Avi, also continued his career with solo music.
Kevin also has an EP titled "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". I love it and the I'm obsessed with the title song. Kevin was also part of a trio named "Triptyq" before and during Pentatonix. They also have an EP which I love. All of the videos are on Kevin's RUclips channel.
Kevin, Kirstie did sooo stuff first and then Scott and Mitch had duo stuff as Superfruit (it’s my favorite)! Mitch as Messer has solo stuff and Scott was actually the last one to do solo stuff. That being said, Scott solo stuff is my favorite and he is currently Grammy nominated (less than 30 days till we find out if he wins the Grammy for his solo stuff) Extraordinary is my favorite song of his, but the live wedding video is my favorite video!
I enjoyed watching your joy while reacting to this Pentatonix video. Thank you for the great reaction. They did an incredible job with this medley. Hopefully, you will see one of their live performances of this. Their performance of it at The Hollywood Bowl in 2022 was epic and it is on RUclips.
It was a joy to way h your face light up with each song. Great reaction. Scott has released several singles. All the members can do whatever they want in their free time but PTX comes first.
Scott was actually after Mitch, Kirstie, and Kevin in doing his own/solo stuff, and started in the last couple years. According to them, the group prioritizes PTX and has a game plan for “the next decade”
They all have solo music, including Avi. I think Matt is the only one without solo music, but I could be wrong. Mitch's solo music is called Messer, which you should definitely check out. And both Scott and Mitch have their own duo music called Superfruit. Everyone else just goes by their regular name.
The pure joy on your face as the different songs came up was so much fun! Note on this particular song...they DO use autotune during Believe as a tribute to Cher, as she was the first one to use it in a song! Scott has some outstanding songs and videos on RUclips, I encourage you to react to them, especially "Mars" and "Parallel." Kevin Olusola also has videos displaying his expertise. "Down" (Marian Hill) is an eye opener. Mitch and Kirstie both have music videos available. I'm not sure about Matt, but it wouldn't surprise me to find some. Their original bass, Avi Kaplan (left in 2017) has a lot of music. I love "Change is on the Rise." You have plenty to look at during this break from The Voice!
This medley is so fun live, I believe they do it at their Hollywood Bowl 2022 concert. You really enjoyed this Anything they do is fun. You might like Come Along, Papaoutai, Perfect and their original Sing. Solo work I like Kirstin in Naked, Scott in Parallel, Kevin in Down ( cover of Marian Hill) and Mitch with a cover of Billie Eilish Your Power. Mitch and Scott have A duo called Superfruit. Their collab with 3 amazing singers in covering Rise by Katy Perry. Scott has a Grammy nomination this year for a song he did away from Pentatonix Tose Without The Thorns. ❤❤❤❤❤
In "Better Off Alone", Mitch does the first series of high notes alone. Thereafter, Scott joins him (you hear the separation through the panning). Yes, it's startling to hear the tenor (counter-tenor) hit high notes like that, but it's shocking to hear a baritone hit them strongly and consistently (all of the live performances of this song show that). Props to Scott here.
If you loved this medley, you should check out their Evolutions of Music, Michael Jackson, Ariana Grande, and Rhianna videos. They do several live takes and choose the one they like the best. They are ALL fabulous.
honey. Scott let's discuss pull up a chair. KO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a man who speaks multiple languages knows multiple instruments played at carnagie hall twice holds love!!!!!!!!!!!
I am pretty sure this was done during COVID, and they filmed and recorded all their parts separately. Every reactor I have seen does the "chair dance" and at the end says - it is too short!
@ I understand. I kind of felt the same way. But to be fair, it is a reaction video. I myself have watched ones that I’ve just clicked off of because they irritate me too much. I stuck to the end and she actually had some interesting insights. But you’re right she did stop way too much.

And if readers are curious, "Boom Boom Boom Boom!" is by the Vengaboys

They performed this live for the first time at their September 2022 Hollywood Bowl concert….the live performance is amazing.
I love that this is just a Stephanie dance party LOLL
Thanks sis!
Great reaction, love your comments, and your joy, with the song selection.
thank you!
Kevin, Kirstie did sooo stuff first and then Scott and Mitch had duo stuff as Superfruit (it’s my favorite)! Mitch as Messer has solo stuff and Scott was actually the last one to do solo stuff. You are so infectious and genuine. Subbed!
They all have great vocal ranges. Scott fills in the bass line when the bass singer has the lead.
Recommend their cover of Havana.

You should definitely listen to Scott's song and video to MARS, he is so talented. They all do solo work, but PTX is also #1.
I love Pentatonix ❤️ glad you're reacting!!

Yes Mitch is a Contra Tenor.

invented CELLO BOXING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scott takes over the bass when Matt has a lead part.
Scott usually covers the bass when the bass singer (Matt now, Avi previously) has a solo. Mitch was born to cover Cher!
You should definitely check out Mitch’s solo stuff under his solo moniker “Messer”. A little edgier but also 🤌🏽❤️❤️❤️
I am pretty sure this was done during COVID, and they filmed and recorded all their parts separately. Every reactor I have seen does the "chair dance" and at the end says - it is too short!
Check out their mashup of New Rules x Are You That Somebody it’s so good!
They all do solo work.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't know Boom Boom or whatever.
two things one and one.
You should check them sing this live at the Hollywood Bowl ruclips.net/video/U10A4ijmEH4/видео.htmlsi=nSUOIn5SpjDdVaAi
All of them have done solos
Perdón, detienes mucho el video, Innecesario /
Sorry, you stop the video too much. Unnecessary
You talk too much.
Its a reaction, thats her job. You find water too wet as well?
@@N_F414💀
Maybe you shouldn’t watch then. She warned you at the beginning.
@@tammyhill3798 True, but to stop at every song change? I got to 3:15 and I've had enough already. Too bad, she seems like a very nice person.
