  • A Fiber Bragg Grating consists of a fiber segment, where the refractive index is periodically increased. The spacing between such increases causes a particular range of wavelengths to be strongly reflected while letting all others pass through.

    Hi thanks for the video.
    I have a question regarding D parameter of CFBG. Normally its D parameter is given in ps/nm. If we use CFBG for dispersion management inside the laser cavity, how would we convert D given in ps/nm to ps^2, since GDD of the fibre in the cavity would be ps^2
