    I like using invasive vines like porcelain berry or weeds like wild grape because there’s never a shortage and then I don’t feel bad if I take more than I end up using

    I think soaking would help make it more pliable. Beautiful, thank you @

      I've never found that I need to soak it when I use smaller tree branches, but you certainly could try if you were having problems.

    Just what I was looking for! Trimmed my peach tree today and thought I'd use the branches to make a wreath as tempted as I was to make yet another broom ;) & this worked perfectly. Thank you! Loved the video and I can get down with a channel called A Traditional Life so had to subscribe

    Thanks so much for the detailed and simplified way to make one when you don't have grapevine (like in my case) your video helped a lot!!

    I would like to make a dried flower crown in a similar stype for a friend. Are there specific woods that would work best for that? Thinner, lighter, less wire needed?

    • @atraditionallife858
      @atraditionallife858  7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't use wire. Just cotton cooking twine! Just stay away from softwoods that have sticky sap (fir, pine, etc). :) I always loved dogwood branches because of their red tone bark.

    Excellent tutorial!!! Unfortunately I live in Florida and don’t have any of the trees you mentioned. Would oak tree branches work or are they too strong and hard? Thanks so much for sharing! 😊❤️🙏🏼☃️❄️🎄

    • @atraditionallife858
      @atraditionallife858  Год назад +3

      I've never tried using oak, but I think it would work. If the branches are too brittle to bend, you could try soaking them for a few hours before. Also, making a larger wreath frame would also help, as your bends would be gradual. :)

      I’m a little late to responding, but I’m in sub tropic SC and I’ve found that any larger vine like wild grape and wisteria and even kudzu work well!
